2026 Kentwood Summer Doubles Season 39 Week 6 , supported by Innova, was held this past Friday 5.29.26

The weather was again eggcellent a little taste of upcoming summer with temps in the mid 80ss, with alot of sun, but thankfully still relatively low humidity.

Another great night of attendance at 97 kentood hooligans.

Winning this week was the first perfect round of the season -18 2x champ Kris Henseler and partner Logan Koning, i will have their -18 mugs ready for them next week. There was some hot shooting , as there were 2 -17s lurking just one shot back. There was no throw offs for last cash at -13.

The Ace pool of $ 94 carried over from last week and added to the $97 for a total of $191,. It was hit 2x, 1st by John T Nelson on his first throw of the night on hold #4 for $95 and then again on hole #18 by Brandt Wolf, for the Ace money $95 and the bob $50.

The Bag o’ Bucks (BOBs) for $50 on #18 was hit by Brandt Wolf as mentioned above with the Ace, and hold #9 Chad Hutcheson in town for a few weeks on a construction job, welcome to NC.

In other news Keel got a hair cut beard trim, look at that clean cut guy about 5 pounds lighter now :)

2026 Kentwood Summer Doubles Season 39 Week 5 , supported by Innova, was held this past Friday 5.22.26

The weather was a little cooler and cloudier than last week as the prospect of rain loomed , but the storms passed leaving Kentwood high and dry. The wind picked up without about 6 holes to play and started gusting luckily only after the round finished.

Another great night of attendance at 94 as the Kentwood Hooligans were not afraid of some ominous weather predictions.

2026 Kentwood Summer Doubles Season 39 Week 4 , supported by Innova, was held this past Friday 5.15.26

Another amazing weather day, quite possibly even better than last friday somehow. Mid 70s sunny, little puffy clouds, the air even hummed with excitement and comradery. It was vunderbar.

A season record 116 joined in the fun, as many veteran hooligans visited and several new timers partook.

Players receive one point for every stroke under par their team shoots. Each week's winners get an additional bonus point for winning. Remember, we take your best 17 weeks into your total season score. The "Total" column will automatically do this once we get to the end of the season.

If you don't see your name or you see an incorrect score, please let Morie Newman know. We do our best to get it right but are only human! At least until UDisc adds functionality for multi-division random draw doubles hahahaha!!

2026 Season 39 KWSD Points

2026 Kentwood Summer Doubles Season 39 Week 3 , supported by Innova, was held this past Friday 5.8.26

The weather was absolutely perfect for the round mid 70s, low humidity, very light breeze, sunny with scattered puffy clouds; basically a disc golfer’s dream weather,. After the round during payout you could feel the temp dropped about 15 degrees to a chilly high 60s.

Another great night of attendance at 101 for the loyal Kentwood Hooligans plus several new faces. We had over 10 people enjoy their first experience of kwsd. It brought back memories to my first time stumbling across Markov’s tournament in 09 one Summer evening and falling in love with the excitement and positive energy of the triangle disc golf community. Playing doubles for the first time with a pro partner and shooting a personal best was an awesome experience, I hope all the new people had a similarly fun adventure and come visit again.

Winning this week in a 2 way throw off was our current reigning champ Adam Keel and partner John K with a near perfect -17 , ( coming in 2nd also at -17 was Hans K and partner Randal Adams nice try guys , it hurts losing with a -17 but look on the bright side you didn’t lose with a -18 which has happened 6 times over the years, or even worse the toughest loss ever was a -19 losing to another -19 lol.. There was no throw off for last cash this week at -13 as there were the precise amount of placers as there were places...

2026 Kentwood Summer Doubles Season 39 Week 2 , supported by Innova, was held this past Friday 5.1.26

The weather was remarkably different from the previous Friday, as a large rain front just came through hours before tee time, the air was chilly like a crisp fall evening and the ground was soaked, a bit of after rain pelted our heads in the woods.

Despite the cool wet conditions we had an incredible turnout of 98 Kentwood Hooligans, who demonstrated they are not just fair weather fans.

Admiral Adam S. returned this week but only as a regular player for the first time in years, not having to discipline hooligans appeared to lighten his step and some even think they saw his heart grow 3 times larger.

Winning this week was 2time champ Ben Jeffreys and partner Nate Miller with an impressive -17 . It was close at the top with several teams just one stroke back at -16. Last cash was again -13 with a 7 person throw off and 5 of the 7 placing.
