From first swims to new records and broken records, wins, cuts, and time drops, the Firebirds did it all. We the Firebirds are so proud of each athlete that went out there and did their thing! Keep up the great work Firebirds, we'll see you in long course season.

From basic survival lessons in the summer of 2025 to full on diving off blocks, today we want to highlight our up and coming youth on the team.
Meet Arthur! he's 6 years old and this is his first year competing. He has a love for swimming like no other and it shows in his hard work. Good job little Arthur, rise up!!! π¦βπ₯π¦βπ₯π¦βπ₯

A good start leads to a good race! Today we work with our Nestling athlete, Sam, with improving body position and power in his dive! It's amazing what an hour and a half of hard work can do! Great job Sam, keep up the great work! πͺπΎπͺπΎπͺπΎ
Today with the Firebirds, we focus on breathing.
Rotating too far during freestyle can result in a slower breath, and unbalanced/aligned body position. We took today to correct those bad habits. We can definitely say that improvements have been made! πͺπΎπ¦βπ₯π₯
Step 1: Breathing while laying down. This helps bring focus strictly to the athlete's breathing and head position.
Step 2: Breathing while kicking on the wall. This allows the athlete to focus on their breathing while adding their legs into the mix.
Step 3: Kicking with a board. This allows the athlete to feel what it's like to move through the water while in the proper breathing position without the stress of adding in the arms.
Step 4: Steady Swimming. This allows the athlete to practice their form using their entire body. A slow interval is applied so they don't have to rush and they can focus on perfecting their technique
Step 5: All out sprints! Keeping with a 100 breathing pattern, the athlete applies the maximum amount of effort to their swim while using their practiced technique.
1st week back from Christmas and New Year's break. WE'RE HERE!!!
