Getting stronger in your 40s isn’t about chasing your 20-something PBs – it’s about building a body that can carry the life you actually want to live.

You don’t have to accept “everything hurts after 40” as your story. When you focus on what you can control – smart training, quality movement, better recovery – you can feel stronger, more capable, and more resilient now than you did a decade ago.

It’s not just about looking good (though that’s a bonus); it’s about moving well, staying injury-free, and knowing your body can keep up with the life you’re here to live. Strong, on your own terms, for the long run.

Todays episode with Javier Guitterez -- "The Power of Being Strong" on the Ultimate Journey of Self Care is out now.

Are you building a retreat business but feel totally lost when it comes to the “boring” stuff like insurance and money hacks?

In this convo, we’re calling out a huge gap in a $363B industry: retreat leaders are left to figure out insurance on their own, with zero clear guidance and very few tailored options. It’s frustrating, expensive, and honestly, it shouldn’t be this hard.

We’re dreaming bigger than just pointing at the problem. Imagine walking into a live event (or logging into a virtual one) and leaving with:
• Clarity on what kind of insurance you actually need
• A shortlist of people you can talk to
• Plus smart ways to use credit cards and points so your business spending is working for you, not against you

Think: travel hacks meets retreat strategy - so you can protect your business, stretch your budget, and unlock perks you didn’t even know you had access to. This is the kind of support retreat leaders are craving, and we’re ready to start the conversation.

Save this if you’re in the retreat space and want more education, more resources, and more out-of-the-box ideas to make your business sustainable and profitable.

Your best idea probably isn't going to arrive while you're answering emails.

Or rushing between meetings.

Or trying to squeeze strategic thinking into the 20 minutes left at the end of an already full day.

Great ideas need space.

And sometimes, they need a completely different environment.

Innovate Retreat is coming this October.

It's an experience created for people who are ready to think beyond what's already working and explore what could come next.

Maybe there's an idea you've never given enough attention.

A direction you've been curious about.

A change you know your business needs.

Or simply a feeling that you're ready for something different, even if you can't articulate exactly what that looks like yet.

Innovate is about giving those thoughts somewhere to go.

Time to explore them.

People to discuss them with.

Space to challenge your assumptions and see possibilities you might have missed from inside your everyday routine.

You don't need to arrive with the big idea.

You might leave with it.

Today we release our Episode with Javier Guitterez -- " The Power of Being Strong "

When life gets busy, your steps don’t have to stop. In this episode, We chat about simple, sustainable ways to move more during your workday – from hopping on a small under-desk treadmill during meetings to breaking your workout into bite-sized chunks instead of skipping it altogether.

You’ll hear why “something is always better than nothing,” how to focus on just the first two or three key exercises when time is tight, and the powerful rule of never missing two days in a row.

If you’ve been letting movement slide down the priority list, this conversation will help you build realistic habits that fit your real life, one step at a time.

Javier shows us the ways in which he feels stronger now than he ever did & you could too!

Sancerre is a little less than 2 weeks out. I’ll be talking about that a lot this week, not because I want you to panic-buy a seat, but because there’s a real, unglamorous logistics clock running (it’s a flight, it’s a passport, it’s a “did you actually block this on your calendar” problem), and I’d rather you make a clear-eyed decision now than a rushed one later. We have one room left.

But I also want to zoom all the way out, because this is the part most people skip.

While a lot of the industry is still trying to figure out how to fill this fall, I’m already mapping 2027 and 2028.

Not because I have some magic crystal ball but because retreats were never supposed to be a standalone event you throw on the calendar and hope sells out.

They’re a tributary. One piece feeding a much bigger river, the same river RPS runs through, the same one the Business Intensives run through, the same one your 1:1 work runs through.

One house. Multiple doors.

If you’re only ever building one door at a time, you’re not building an ecosystem. You are building a series of disconnected ponds and wondering why none of them ever turns into a lake.

And this is exactly why retreat access lives inside the Retreat Profit Society.

It was never going to sit off to the side as some separate purchase because it’s built into the membership itself.

You don’t have to piece your ecosystem together door by door.

Join RPS, and the retreats are already part of the house you’re standing in.

That’s what closing out this month means to me.

Not “what did I sell in August.”

But ‘ What did I build that’s still standing in 2028’

This week, I want to get into something I think about constantly and don’t talk about enough: what’s actually happening when someone looks at an offer whether it’s Sancerre or RPS or something else (it doesn’t really matter), and hesitates.

Because “no” and “not sure” are not the same conversation, and if you’re treating them the same, you’re either pushing people who just need to see more, or you’re pushing people who need something pushing can never fix.

Change rarely happens all at once.

It happens one workout.

One walk.

One stretch before bed.

One healthy meal.

One decision to keep going instead of giving up.

Over the past month, we've talked about strength, movement, recovery, and endurance.

None of those habits are powerful because you did them once.

They're powerful because you practiced them consistently enough for them to start feeling normal.

That's how a lifestyle is built.

Not through dramatic transformations.

Through ordinary choices repeated often enough that they become part of who you are.

If you've been following along this month, take a minute to recognize your progress.

Maybe you're stronger.

Maybe you're moving more.

Maybe you're recovering better.

Maybe you're simply paying more attention to how you care for yourself.

Don't overlook those wins.

They're the foundation of everything that comes next.

✨ Progress isn't built in one big moment. It's built in the small choices you make every day.

February in St Lucia.

Warm Caribbean air.

Incredible scenery.

Space to think, breathe, connect and experience something completely different from everyday life.

In February 2027, we're heading to St Lucia for a brand new retreat experience, and while we're not quite ready to reveal everything we've planned, we can tell you that this is going to be special.

Alison's retreats are designed around what happens when you take yourself out of your usual environment and give yourself the time to pay attention to the things that normally get pushed aside.

The ideas you've been sitting on.

The decisions you've been postponing.

The parts of your life that deserve more of your attention.

And the person you want to be as you move into your next chapter.

This time, we'll be doing that against the spectacular backdrop of one of the Caribbean's most beautiful islands.

📅 **February 2027**
✨ **Coming soon**

The full details will be revealed in time.

When you think about gut health, what comes to mind?

Digestion? Bloating? The foods you eat?

There's a much bigger conversation to be had.

In "Gut Health 101" , Alison is joined by Katie Kirklin to explore the fascinating relationship between the gut, the brain, and our overall wellbeing.

They discuss how everyday habits including nutrition, movement, sleep, sunlight, and meaningful social connection can influence how we feel both physically and mentally.

Katie also explores the gut-brain connection and the role of the vagus nerve, which carries messages between the brain, gut, and other organs throughout the body.

The conversation even looks towards our future health, exploring emerging research around gut inflammation, cognitive decline, Alzheimer's, and dementia.

It's a powerful reminder that looking after your body today can have an impact that reaches much further than we might realise.

You don't need to overhaul everything overnight.

Understanding what's happening inside your body is a pretty good place to begin.

🎙️ Listen to "Katie Kirklin: Gut Health 101" now for an accessible introduction to why your gut deserves far more attention than you might be giving it.
