British Swim School - Raleigh

Join us at our new facility! Over 40 Years of Saving Lives in a fun & loving environment. Our teaching is a gradual, gentle and fun process.

British Swim School has been dedicated to teaching water survival for over 35 years. Our methods are based on teaching beginners of all age groups that the ability to float on their back is the most important water survival skill of all. This enables the swimmer to rest, breathe, and call for help thus alleviating the "silent" danger of floating face down. British Swim School founder, Rita Goldberg, has worked continuously to develop, improve and fine tune these methods, resulting in the ability to teach babies as young as 3 months old to roll over onto their backs.

Why swim year-round? Because swimming skills are built through consistency. 🏊

Weekly lessons give swimmers more opportunities to practice, build on what they’ve learned and become more comfortable and confident in the water. Continued practice also helps keep important water safety skills fresh, because water is part of life in every season. 💦

Keep the progress going, one lesson at a time!

Some people call them swim lessons. We call them skills for life. 💦

From learning how to float and safely enter the water to building confidence and stronger swimming skills, every lesson helps prepare swimmers for a lifetime around the water.

Because water safety skills aren’t just for the pool. They can make a difference wherever life takes you. 🏊

Every high five has a story. 🙌

It might celebrate putting their face in the water, floating independently, mastering a new swimming skill or simply finding the courage to try again.

At British Swim School, we know progress looks different for every swimmer. That’s why we celebrate every step forward, no matter how small it may seem.

Here’s to every little win!

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, British Swim School is proud to recognize the strength of survivors, honor those we have lost and stand alongside everyone impacted by breast cancer.

Whether it’s a family member, friend, colleague or someone in your local community, many of us have someone special in mind as we paint the pool deck pink this October.

Who are you swimming for? 🩷

Confidence doesn't happen all at once. It happens one lesson at a time, until one day it's impossible to miss. ❤️
