Tina Turner will always be a true legend. 🎶 🎤 💜 Watching her story at 19 shifted my outlook on life and helped me let go of hurt, anger, and confusion and first learn what spirituality could mean for me.

In 2008, I saw her perform at MSG and got to pass along a message through one of her dancers (I’d like to think her she got it) of how her journey had a profound impact on me.

She was 69 then and her singing and dancing were on fire. 💃🏻 This week when I dance around my house, which I do daily, I’ll be moving to celebrate Tina’s life and humbly remember what I learned years ago. That I can choose to be inspired any moment I’m willing to remember who I am and not let my peace be taken by anyone else. Thank you, Tina.

Happy separately makes us happier together, definitely. First of all, it’s so easy to start picking apart the body in pictures. When I feel good and at peace about me, I am present for all the fun and generosity and thoughtfulness and love of this human. 💜
