This is preceded by a short clip from a 1983 BBC Documentary of Hong Hsiang's School, Tang Shou Tao, which showcases Steps 1, 5, 6, and 7 of the same beginner form, combining elements from Southern Shaolin and Gao Linear Pa Kua.

The topics were: "Breathing, Qi Gong meditations, light conditioning, and elemental forces isolates, drills, and kinetics.
* Warm ups.
* Qi-Gong: Metal, Fire, Water, Wood, Earth, Sword Hand, Big Circle, Rise-Drill-Overturn.
* 5 Forces Elemental isolates, 2 man drills: (1) Wood to Shoulder. (2) Wood to Heart.
* 5 Forces Elemental isolates:
“Metal creates Water, Water creates Wood, Wood creates Fire and Fire creates Earth.“
* 5 Forces Elemental isolates: Combinations 2 man drills:
Metal palm split vs Wood punch. “Metal destroys Wood. Wood destroys Earth. Earth destroys Water. Water destroys Fire and Fire destroy Metal.”

Five Force (Element) Theory Cycles:
Creative or generative cycle is as follows (outer arrows):
Gold/Metal creates Water, Water creates Wood, Wood Creates Fire and Fire creates Earth.
A poem for remembrance: Gold/Metal, when molten, becomes liquid (water). Water nourishes wood (trees). Trees, when burned create fire. When fire is exhausted, you are left with ash (Earth). From Earth you mine gold/metal again.

A poem for remembrance: The axe chops down the tree. The trees roots break through the ground. Earth mounded up can dam a river. The water from the river puts out a fire. Fire can melt the axe blade.
