The wait is over… TRYOUT WEEK IS HERE. 💥

It’s hard to believe we’re finally here. After weeks of open gyms, parent sessions, and getting to meet so many incredible athletes, we’re ready to officially kick off the 2026–27 Carolina Explosion season.

To everyone who’s come out so far, thank you. Your energy has us even more excited for what’s ahead, and we can’t wait to see what this season has in store.

A few quick reminders:

🏐 Register before you arrive. We’ll only be accepting a limited number of walk-ins.

🏐 Athletes only need to attend one tryout session. If you can’t make one of the scheduled dates, no problem, just let us know. If you can’t make either date, please reach out ASAP so we can get you scheduled for one of our alternative tryout opportunities.

💥 Last chance to attend Open Gym before tryouts! 💥

Join us this Saturday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM for your final opportunity to get extra reps, meet our coaches, and experience Carolina Explosion before tryouts next week.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in and get registered.

⏰ Today is also the LAST day to save $10 on your tryout registration!

We’ll also be hosting a Parent Information Session from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM during Open Gym. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about our club, season, and what to expect.

Walk-ins are welcome, but we highly recommend registering in advance to reserve your spot.

What an incredible way to kick off our first Carolina Explosion Open Gym! 🔥

It was great to see so many new faces in the gym, along with athletes who are ready to work, compete, and continue growing their game. The energy, effort, and excitement today made us even more excited for what’s ahead this season.

A huge thank you to every athlete and family who came out. We can’t wait to see everyone back at our next Open Gym and at tryouts as we continue building something special.

With a background as a setter and defensive specialist, Coach Tori is passionate about helping athletes grow both on and off the court. Her experience supporting student-athletes in higher education has reinforced her belief that success comes from discipline, leadership, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous growth.

We’re excited to have Coach Tori as part of the Carolina Explosion family and can’t wait for our athletes to learn from her this season.

With more than 15 years of coaching experience, Coach Coop is passionate about helping athletes build a strong foundation in the game while developing the confidence, discipline, and mindset needed to succeed. She believes in challenging athletes to push beyond their comfort zones, embrace accountability, and strive for continuous growth both on and off the court.

A Wake Forest native and former collegiate basketball player at NC State, Coach Jenn brings a lifelong passion for athletics, leadership, and mentorship to Carolina Explosion. As a third-grade teacher, she is dedicated to helping young athletes build confidence, accountability, and resilience while creating a positive environment where they are challenged, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.

Coach Jenn believes that the lessons learned through sports extend far beyond the game, and we’re excited for the impact she’ll have on our athletes this season.

We're kicking off our Meet the Coaches series with Coach Duncan!

A Raleigh native and former libero, Coach Duncan has spent the past several years mentoring and developing young athletes. She is passionate about creating an environment where players are challenged to grow, build confidence, strengthen their fundamentals, and learn the value of teamwork and character both on and off the court.

We're excited for the impact she'll have on our athletes this season and can't wait for you to get to know her!
