Congrats to Miraya Lurie on her 7 shot WIN in the girls age 12 division of the 2022 U S Kids Copperhead Classic at the Innisbrook Resort in Tampa Florida. Miraya led after round 1 and finished the deal on a very windy and chilly day in Florida. Miraya has endured a difficult rehab after a shoulder injury in the summer season. A great way to start 2022! The best is yet to come!

A fun weekend of watching our junior golfers competing in the area! Our second junior to reach the Blue Tees, the longest tees as well, in the Operation 36 Program, Davis Flynn, scored 77 to finish second in the age 13-14 U S Kids event at Hillandale Golf Club Saturday. Finishing first in the division was Chase Nieshalla, Coached by Greg Greksa of our Academy with a fine score of 72. Way to make us all proud boys!!
Sadler Miller finished 7th and Kaitlyn Rand was T-13 in the Peggy Kirk Bell Wolfpack Classic at Lonnie Poole Golf Club this weekend in Bell National division.

Our first player to reach the Blue Tee position in Operation 36, Xan Pitt, has had several good events in age 12-13 events in TYGA events including a second place and other top 7 finishes. Keep your eye on this young man in the years ahead as he gets stronger and longer. Great hands and short game already.

A great start to the month of July for Kaitlyn Rand! First being among 81 juniors from The First Tee selected to compete in Pebble Beach in September in the Pure Insurance Classic with the PGA Tour Champions. Then contending in the Carolinas PGA Junior Championship qualifier and now a WIN at the TYGA High Point Championship!
The best is yet to come!!

Very proud of the Meredith College Avenging Angels Golf Team. While we could not quite handle the Methodist University Monarchs, we did improve each day as a team and individually. While we say goodbye to our senior captain Allyson Nowell, Junior Leah Campbell, sophomore Lillien Gaskins and team medalist freshman Jenna Cirillo plus our incoming class for 2021, plan to make our mark on the USA South Conference in the years ahead. Basketball and track and field senior Kim Schuh filled in admirably for a couple of events to help our season take shape and we thank her for her efforts. Great playing by Davis Flynn in the U S Kids Hillendale event today in the 13-14 age group. Davis finished T-2 with an 80. Davis is in 8th grade and vested several high school players that are a year older. Good, consistent practicing is paying off for Davis! The best is yet to come!

A great two days for Kaitlyn Rand, celebrating her birthday with a win Thursday in the PKBJT North Carolina series event at Greensboro National and backing it up on her birthday Friday with medalist in the NC Vicky DiSantis qualifier also at Greensboro National. The best is yet to come for this hard working player!!

Congrats to Kaitlyn Rand on her 6 shot win in the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour College Prep Division win in girls 14-18 at N C State Lonnie Poole. More to come!

It is with a very heavy heart that I pass on the news of John Budwine having passed away today. Nancy Budwine messaged me a few minutes ago and more details tomorrow. We have lost a great friend and a great friend of golfers where ever John hung his shingle. John has touched many lives and will be remembered for his wit, talents, love for everyone, his precious wife Nancy and family. Please say a prayer for John and his family and I will pass on details of any memorials as they are made. RIP good friend John. Yours was a life well played!

To my Facebook friends here in the Carolinas.....prayers are needed to John and Nancy Budwine and family. Many of you know John has been battling some cancerous tumors the past few years. John is currently under hospice care at Nancy’s sister’s house. Congrats to Xan Pitt for his second place finish in the season points list for the age 12 U S Kids Raleigh Local Tour. Xan also finished second on Saturday finishing through the rain. Xan has a lot of game and live of the game and great things are ahead for him!
