I am married to my college sweetheart and we have two kids 10 & 4 years old. I am a special needs mom๐๐พ๐งฉ, my son was diagnosed with Autism at age 2 1/2.โฃ

I started my weight loss journey in 2013 after having Jr. I only did at home workouts, belly dancing DVDs and Shaun T. I was seeing results but not what I was looking for..and I was super frustrated. It was the next year 2014 that I started learning about weight lifting.โฃ

By 2014/2015, I lost well over 50lbs. I went from 216lbs to 153lbs. After I did the work and was proud of my accomplishments, I immediately got certified and started my IG fitness page in 2015/2016. I have been sharing advice & coaching women, especially mothers how to lose weight and build muscle ever since!โฃ

My goal is to help more women on a bigger platform and work with brands who align with our goals..and make weight loss simple for moms as much as I can! โฃ

I attended a live session, and it really shifted my mindset. You can get inspiration just by simply being in the present. Sometimes Iโm living in the future and zone out, that I miss out on whatโs going on around me. Now that I got a reality check, I canโt let what may or may not happen distract me, I can be inspired by others without putting myself down or disowning my personal accomplishments.๐น

I am so excited to have been chosen to compete! Iโve always wanted to be on a cover of a fitness magazine since I started my journey a few years ago, even wrote it on my visor board back in 2016. The winner is up to you guys! Voting starts May 1st and Iโm not gonna lie, none of the past winners look like me but Iโm going to use that to my advantage! Yโall help me win! 3 things I did to get rid of my gut: (2-3 months)
1. I swapped out bread for oatmeal and yogurt at breakfast. I was eating more bread than usual
2. I kept lifting heavy weights and prioritizing 6 compound movements each workout (pull ups, dips, deadlifts, chest press etc)
3. Added 20-30 min to the end of my workouts which I didnโt do often so that helped as well.

5 months difference. hereโs some things I did to get here:
1. Reduce my processed sugar intake
2. Continue to lift heavy
But I still have my flaws: I like a lil shot of tequila every now and then ๐๐คท๐พโโ๏ธ, I still eat sweets but I went 2-3 weeks from time to time during the 5 months to detox my body.
