📢 IMPORTANT UPDATE: This Saturday's Horse Show is Rescheduled
Hi everyone,
We have been closely monitoring the forecast for this Saturday. With temperatures estimated to be in the high 80s to low 90s combined with 58% humidity, the heat index will be too high for working horses and active riders to perform safely.
Because the safety, comfort, and well-being of our equine partners and competitors is always our top priority, we have made the decision to reschedule this Saturday’s event.
🗓️ Next Steps:
New Date: We are actively working on securing our new date and will share those details with you as soon as they are finalized.
Thank you so much for your understanding and support as we work to keep everyone—two-legged and four-legged—safe and healthy.
Stay cool, keep your horses hydrated, and we will share the new date with you very soon! 🐴☀️

📢 IMPORTANT EVENT UPDATE: Heat Advisory & Monitoring📢
Hi everyone!
We are keeping a very close eye on the weather forecast for this upcoming weekend’s horse show. The comfort, health, and safety of our riders, families, and—most importantly—our horses will always be our absolute top priority.
☀️ Our Heat Policy:
If the forecasted temperatures are estimated to hit 95°F or higher, we will officially cancel or reschedule the event.
⏰ When you will hear from us:
We are tracking the models closely and will make a final decision mid-week. We will contact everyone via social media and email those who have pre entered by Wednesday.
Thank you all for your understanding, patience, and shared commitment to keeping our equine partners safe. Stay cool, hydrated, and keep your fingers crossed for a break in the heat! 🐴💜

Next up on Meet The Crew Fridays is our Treasurer, Christina! 💜 Christina has loved animals her whole life and has been around horses since she was young. Her passion for the equestrian community goes beyond the arena — she also serves on the SDCEA Equestrian Committee, where she helps support and advocate for our local horse community.
The Casey Tibbs Western Center is extra special to Christina because her daughter grew up riding in gymkhanas at that same arena. Now, Christina loves being part of Casey Tibbs Riders and helping create opportunities for the next generation of riders to make those same fun, confidence-building memories.
When she’s not helping keep things organized behind the scenes, Christina loves spending time with her horse, supporting local riders, and helping make Casey Tibbs Riders a welcoming place for families and competitors. Be sure to say hi to Christina at the next gymkhana🐴💜

Next up on Meet The Crew Fridays, our Vice President Tammi!💜 You may know her as our amazing announcer for the gymkhanas. Tammi has grown up around horses and her entire life has revolved around animals. She is a Registered Veterinary Technician when she’s not announcing sponsors, times, and riders! She has rodeoed her whole life and loves the barrel racing. While you’re at the next gymkhana, be on the lookout (and listening) for Tammi! She sure knows how to keep the show rolling 💜🐴
