For over 50 years, people from all over the world have come to float the American River. And now, for the first time ever, a brand-new section of this lazy river is open for self-guided floats!
It’s about half the length of the classic 6-mile float, just as beginner-friendly—and absolutely stunning.
The original 6-mile float is now open for the season, but spoiler alert: the new section, opening Memorial Day weekend, might just steal the show with its untouched beauty and serene views.
