Office hours: Monday - Friday By appointment only. There are a variety of ways in which I facilitate healing. from The Ritberger Institute.

At the Radiant Health Center it is my desire to assist clients and students in creating health and wellness in their life. Craniosacral Therapy combined with Myofascial Release, Reiki, sound, cellular memory reintegration and others helps the body release stored tension and expand flexibility. Learning about how our brain works and how to make choices that enhance joy in our lives is another great

The vagus nerve (cranial nerve X) is the longest and most critical nerve of the parasympathetic nervous system, serving as a “wandering” information superhighway that links the brain to the heart, lungs, and digestive tract. It acts as the body’s involuntary control system, governing “rest and digest” functions and acting as a brake on inflammation and stress.

Keeping the vagus nerve regulated—often referred to as having high vagal tone—is crucial for maintaining physical and mental health. A healthy, regulated vagus nerve promotes low resting heart rates, reduced blood pressure, effective digestion, and strong immune regulation.

📑Key Functions of the Vagus Nerve

➡️Rest and Digest Control: Activates the parasympathetic nervous system, slowing the heart rate, lowering blood pressure, and encouraging digestive function.

➡️Inflammation Control: Controls the “inflammatory reflex,” turning off excessive inflammation to protect organs.
Information Transfer: Carries bidirectional signals between the brain and digestive tract (gut-brain axis), influencing mood and cognitive function.

➡️Body Reflexes: Manages involuntary actions like coughing, sneezing, swallowing, and salivation.

When the vagus nerve is poorly regulated (low vagal tone), the body often stays stuck in a “fight or flight” sympathetic state. This can lead to chronic inflammation, which is linked to serious, long-term conditions.

Strategies to “reset” or stimulate the vagus nerve increase its activity and improve overall resilience - check out the comment section for a few tips on how to reset♥️ 04/14/2026

Don and I would be celebrating our 45th Wedding Anniversary today! We would have been enjoying the company of family and friends who were/are the joy of our lives and then probably taking off on a vacation to enjoy each other's company in the beauty of nature.

I wrote this ten years ago, I hope you enjoy our story. I appreciate everyone who has complimented our lives and those who still remain.

California financially contributes more to the federal government than any other state. It is crucial that we continue to keep the ocean waters clean for ocean habitat, people, and to sustain a healthy economy.

Please sign to keep this so!
