🥊 NUTRITION FOR PERFORMANCE 🥊

You put in the work at the gym… but are you giving your body what it needs to perform at its best? 💪

Whether you’re boxing, lifting, running, or just working toward a healthier version of yourself, nutrition plays a huge role in how you feel, recover, and perform.

🥩 Protein helps support muscle recovery.
🍚 Carbohydrates provide energy to fuel your workouts.
🥑 Healthy fats support your body and overall health.
💧 Hydration helps keep you ready to perform.

You don’t need a “perfect” diet or a complicated plan. Small, sustainable changes can make a big difference in your energy, recovery, and performance.

At Meraki Box, we believe fitness is about more than just what happens during your workout. It’s about building healthy habits that support your goals both inside and outside the gym.

Stop into Meraki Box and see how we can help you build a plan, create better habits, and fuel your performance! 🥊🔥

🥊 HEAVY BAG TECHNIQUE SERIES — PT. 3: TRAIN WITH PURPOSE 🥊

You’ve learned the basics.

You’ve started building better combinations.

Now it’s time for the final piece: TRAIN WITH PURPOSE. 🔥

Don’t just walk up to the heavy bag and start throwing punches until the timer runs out. Give every round a goal!

Try training with a specific focus:

🎯 Round 1: Focus on your jab and movement.
👊 Round 2: Work clean, controlled combinations.
🦶 Round 3: Focus on footwork, angles, and staying balanced.
💥 Round 4: Add speed and power—while keeping your technique sharp.
🔥 Round 5: Put it all together!

The goal isn’t just to hit the bag harder. It’s to become more intentional with every punch, every movement, and every round.

Have a plan. Focus on the details. Push yourself with purpose.

Because when you train with purpose, every round has a reason—and every punch helps you get better. 🥊

That wraps up our Heavy Bag Technique Series! Remember: master the basics, build your combinations, and always train with purpose.

🥊 HEAVY BAG TECHNIQUE SERIES — PT. 2: BUILD BETTER COMBINATIONS 🥊

Now that we’ve covered the Heavy Bag Basics, it’s time to start putting your punches together! 👊

A great combination isn’t just about throwing a bunch of punches as fast as possible. The key is learning how to flow from one punch to the next while staying balanced, controlled, and ready to move.

Try these simple combinations:

🥊 1–2 — Jab, Cross
🥊 1–2–3 — Jab, Cross, Lead Hook
🥊 1–1–2 — Double Jab, Cross
🥊 1–2–3–2 — Jab, Cross, Lead Hook, Cross

As you work the bag, remember:

👊 Stay balanced — Don’t let your punches pull you out of position.
🎯 Punch with purpose — Pick your targets instead of just swinging wildly.
🧤 Bring your hands back home — Every punch should return to a good position.
🦶 Don’t forget your feet — Move, pivot, and create angles!
💥 Technique first, speed and power second.

Start slow, focus on clean technique, and let your combinations build naturally. Before long, those punches will start flowing together! 🔥

Stay tuned for Part 3 of our Heavy Bag Technique Series!

🥊 SELF-CONFIDENCE THROUGH BOXING 🥊

This one means a lot to Coach Ryan and it means a lot to our entire Meraki Box community.

Boxing is about so much more than learning how to throw a punch or getting a great workout. It’s about discovering what you’re capable of.

It’s about walking into the gym unsure of yourself… and realizing that you belong here.

It’s about learning something new, pushing through challenges, celebrating small victories, and slowly building the confidence to take on things you once thought you couldn’t do.

💪 You don’t have to be the strongest.
🥊 You don’t have to be the fastest.
🔥 You don’t have to know anything about boxing.

You just have to be willing to take that first step.

At Meraki Box, we’ve seen what can happen when someone starts believing in themselves. One class can turn into consistency. Consistency can turn into progress. And progress can turn into confidence that carries far beyond the gym.

Whether you’re looking to build confidence, get in shape, relieve stress, learn boxing, or simply become the best version of yourself, we’re here to help you get started.

Come see what you’re capable of. 🖤🥊

Your confidence is waiting to be built.

🥊 HEAVY BAG TECHNIQUE SERIES — PT. 1: HEAVY BAG BASICS 🥊

Before you start throwing punches as hard and fast as you can, let’s talk about the basics!

The heavy bag is an incredible tool for building fitness, power, technique, and confidence—but only if you use it correctly.

In Part 1 of our Heavy Bag Technique Series, we’re breaking down the foundation:

👊 Start in a balanced stance — Stay athletic and ready to move.
🧤 Keep your hands up — Protect yourself and always bring your hands back home.
💥 Focus on technique over power — Clean punches beat wild punches every time.
🦶 Use your feet — Don’t just stand in one spot! Move, pivot, and stay balanced.
🎯 Control the bag — You’re working the bag…the bag shouldn’t be working you!

Whether you're brand new to boxing or have been training for years, going back to the basics is always a good idea.

Stay tuned for Part 2 as we continue building your heavy bag skills! 🔥
