2022 turkey season was a success. South Dakota does not disappoint. I was fortunate enough to fill all 3 of my tags on some nice birds this year.
We hope that catching our hunts on film and telling the stories involved with the hunt, inspiring other families to get involved with hunting.
The ultimate hunting experiences is not about shooting the biggest turkey, the deer with the biggest horns or the fact of going out just to kill, its much more than that. Our thought process is that hunting is the joy of living, and the experience and pleasure of sharing our family time together in Gods great land and with that of a wild creature that we respect, admire and value. Wow. Looking back at 2021, it has been one of those years that will be hard to beat. I am lucky enough to spend countless of hours with family and friends hunting and fishing this year.
It started out in the spring and I was able to fill all 3 of my tags on some giant turkeys (2 on the same day).
In August I was very fortunate to travel up to Alaska and live in the Arctic Circle for a week while caribou hunting. I was able to put down a very nice bull and created many memories. Even got into some good fishing in Alaska too. In mid September I spent countless of hours chasing a collared pronghorn in western South Dakota. The data SD GFP was cool to see.
Lastly once November came I finished off a great year by filling my archery, East River rifle and my Black Hills rifle tags on some amazing deer. And all within 2 weeks of each other.
Needless to say the freezer is full and I’m already looking forward to what 2022 will be like.
So, here’s to more adventures in the future and spending more time with family and friends in the great outdoors!!!

Big buck down! I got to punch my tag on opening day for South Dakota’s east river rifle.
Waited for him to come out from his bedding area for almost 4 hours! And when he came out he was working right to me. Made the easy 150 yard shot. The back-breaking 1.5 miles back to the truck was well worth it!
