You *could* learn to scuba dive in a cold-ish pool and finish your certification in a chilly South Dakota lake…

Or you could start here in **Rapid City** and finish your Open Water certification at **Blue Grotto in Florida.** 😎

Our **NAUI Open Water Scuba Diver + Nitrox** class is designed to get you certified in one action-packed week:

📍 **Start in Rapid City** with orientation and snorkeling skills
✈️ Then head to Florida
🤿 Complete your pool, classroom & open-water training near Blue Grotto
🐢 Dive in beautiful spring water with fish, turtles and 50-foot platforms
🏡 Stay together in a comfortable rental home with the rest of your class
🎓 Finish the week as a **NAUI Open Water Diver + Nitrox Diver**

And yes—**the Blue Grotto water is typically in the low-to-mid 70s.** We’ll take that over a chilly Black Hills checkout dive any day. 😉

**November 8–13, 2026**

The certification course is **$750**, and the Blue Grotto stay/trip is **$1,200 (single occupancy)** and includes lodging, Blue Grotto entrance fees, cylinder/weight rentals and use of our BCs and regulators/gauges.

Airfare, transportation and meals are not included—so you can add a little extra Florida adventure if you'd like.
