Our next camp with Aidan Callahan and Jacob Williams is less than a month away, July 7-8. See the flyer attached below for details.

Also attached is the flyer for our third and final summer camp with Northern State University coaches Josh Nolan and Wyatt Turnquist on July 25-26.

Note that for both upcoming camps there is a dedicated session for youth/elem wrestlers. This is a great opportunity for beginner or newer wrestlers to focus on fundamentals that may not be addressed with older or more experienced wrestlers. This is also ideal for younger wrestlers who don't have the desire or stamina to spend 5+ hours at practice. Don't miss out.

Registration for both of these camps, in particular the youth sessions, may be limited. Sign up ASAP to ensure a spot.

We hope you had a nice holiday weekend. A couple of updates...

1. Our Summer Session begins tomorrow (Tuesday). Now is the time you can separate yourself from next year's competition. See the flyer attached below for details.

2. Our first summer camp with Wyatt Turnquist from Northern State University is in less than two weeks (June 5-6). We haven't had a lot of registrations so far but Coach Turnquist said he's coming no matter what. He's bringing along Griffin Lundeen, current NSU wrestler and 2026 NCAA national tournament qualifier. This is going to be a small camp with two excellent clinicians -- a great opportunity to improve in a matter of days. Don't miss out.

3. We have accumulated a lot of random clothing items and will be donating them to charity soon. For now they are all stashed in the top right locker along the bathroom wall. Random shoes have been placed in the top left corner of the same lockers. Please look through both and take what's yours!

Our Spring Session wraps up this week. We've had a great practice room all spring. Thank you to all who have attended!

Our Summer Session will begin on Tuesday May 26. No break between sessions, other than being off for Memorial Day. See the flyer attached below for details.

A few other things...

1. The gear order is in and available for pick up at any practice. If you've ordered something please stop by and pick it up.

2. Some of our college wrestlers are back for the summer and available for private or small-group lessons for all wrestlers, including beginners. Please contact us for details.

3. Registration is open for our summer camps, the first of which is in less than two weeks. Please get signed up ASAP if you plan to attend.

Enjoy the last week of school! Summer is right around the corner, the best time of year to make gains on the mat. Let us know if you have any questions.

We are excited to have two of our own, Aidan Callahan and Jacob Williams, hosting a camp on July 7-8! Aidan and Jacob were 2025 RC Stevens graduates, and both trained at and competed for BHWA for several years. Both just completed their first year of college wrestling -- Aidan at Chadron State and Jacob at Northern State. This is going to be a great camp!

Note that there are two registration options depending on the age of your wrestler. K-5 is in the morning session from 9am-1030am ($55) and MS/HS will meet for two sessions per day, from 11am-1230pm and 1pm-3pm ($105). Lunch will not be provided so please bring something to eat between sessions if you'd like.

We have some additional info about our upcoming camps...

1. We are collaboraing with Black Hills Nationals for a camp in Spearfish on Thursday June 4 with Arizona State University Assistant Lee Pritts. See the flyer attached below for details.

Camp Director Frank Pavich has generously offered a half-price discount for BHWA members ($25 instead of $50). Thank you, Frank!

The registration link is about halfway down the page on the right hand side. Frank is working on moving it up to the top of the page, so it might be there when you go to look. Deadline for the discount is May 31.

2. Northern State University Assistant Coach and NCAA All-American wrestler Wyatt Turnquist is coming to BHWA on June 5-6. The flyer for his camp is attached below as well. Coach Turnquist is one of the best clinicians around, you don't want to miss this one.

4. Then on July 25-26, Coach Turnquist will be back with Northern State University Head Coach Josh Nolan for our last camp of the summer. More info coming soon.

We have a couple of summer camp opportunities to tell you about...

Last but not least, on July 25-26 Wyatt will be back with Northern State University Head Coach Josh Nolan for another two day camp at BHWA. We will send the flyer as soon as we have it. This will be the third summer that Coach Nolan and Coach Turnquist have come to BHWA and it's been a great camp every time. This year will be no exception.

We may have one more camp in early July. Details are being finalized now with more information to follow soon.

Thanks to all who have attended our Postseason Prep Session. We've had an amazing group of some of the best wrestlers in the region. Good luck to those competing this weekend at AAU State in Sioux Falls. Your hard work will pay off.

Speaking of hard work, the flyer for our Spring Session is attached. These next few months are the time when real gains are made. Even one day a week on the mat will separate you from next year's competition.

The flyer for our Post Season Prep Session is attached below. This session is for youth wrestlers looking for additional practice opportunities in preparation for the AAU postseason series (districts/regions/state) as well as middle and high school wrestlers preparing for dual teams or other postseason tournaments (Black Hills Nationals/Montana Open/etc.).

Please note that this session will be divided by age this year, with younger wrestlers at 530pm-630pm and the older kids from 630pm-745pm. Please also note the earlier start time (530pm instead of the usual 545pm).
