What is the GRAND FONDUE?

Well, it’s a little bit of this and a little bit of that: mixed-surface paved and gravel roads that wind through historic, rural areas of Frederick County (with some optional trail segments for anyone who wants to spice things up!). It’s taking the scenic detour routes and enjoying a day on the bike either solo or with friends. It’s slowing down to do a little sightseeing and autumn leaf peeping along the way. It’s stopping mid-ride for grilled cheese w/ bacon then relaxing with a drink and live music at the end 🍁🧀🥓🍷🐝🎵

PACHA: December 2010-September 2026. This week, we said good-bye to our little sidekick, trail buddy, and best friend. Our hearts are broken 💔

All who have attended a Dirty Kitten event probably met Pacha at some point. She was our unofficial “cat-dog” mascot, welcome committee, reg manager, and lunch quality control officer. She played support dog with Alex in her classroom in Virginia, worked as Shop Dog at Blue Ridge Cyclery (formerly Bike Stop) & Bike Doctor Frederick and supervised at our DK events.

Pacha was wild, scrappy, and stubborn but had a heart of gold and was always up for anything (as long as it involved snacks!). She was an intricate member of our family and will always be in our hearts. Hug your fur babies tight 🫂 - Alex & Chris
