Attention all Lakeland Little League families!
Unfortunately, we were unable to establish our 2027 board at tonight's meeting. Without a board for 2027, the future of Lakeland Little League is unclear.
If you are interested in joining the board, please reach out asap via Facebook messenger or send us an email at [email protected].
All positions are available. We do have some board members joining again this year but we still need new volunteers. Below are the roles we MUST fill to have a season, but anyone able to join for other help is encouraged to do so asap. The more support we have the more we can do for these athletes.
President: Help keep Lakeland Little League running smoothly throughout the season and make sure we stay on track with Little League requirements. You’ll work alongside the rest of the board. The president is not expected to handle everything alone.
Vice President: Support the president and help make sure league activities follow Little League requirements. This is a great role for someone who wants to be involved and help where needed without owning every day-to-day task.
Player Agent: Manage player registrations, verify eligibility documents, and assist with tryouts, drafts, rosters, and player changes throughout the season. This role is a great fit for someone comfortable using a computer and reviewing documents. The workload is shared. WE NEED AT LEAST TWO VOLUNTEERS FOR THIS POSITION!
Secretary: Help keep the board organized by handling meeting notices, taking meeting minutes, and maintaining basic league records. Most of this work happens around board meetings, making it a straightforward way to help behind the scenes.
Treasurer: Keep track of league finances, including deposits, payments, and basic financial records. You’ll work with the president and board on the budget and financial decisions. The treasurer is not expected to manage the league’s finances alone.
Safety Officer: Help keep Lakeland Little League safe by coordinating safety information, incident reporting, and our annual league safety plan. Other board members help with the plan and safety needs, so this role is primarily about keeping everything organized and making sure required safety items get completed.
Coaching Coordinator: Be a point of contact for our coaches and managers and help connect them with training, resources, and support throughout the season. This is a great role for someone who enjoys working with coaches and helping them have what they need to be successful!
