Never forget!

In Memoriam: September 16, 2019 - LODD
Captain Michael Bell, 68
Farmington Fire Department. Farmington, ME
Firefighters were called to the scene on Route 2 in Farmington at around 8:07 a.m. for a propane smell in the building. Soon after firefighters arrived on scene and began to investigate, there was an explosion that leveled the building. Captain Michael Bell was killed and six other Farmington firefighters were injured. 62-year-old Fire Chief Terry Bell, Michael's brother, 40-year-old Captain Timothy D. Hardy, 37-year-old Captain Scott Baxter, 64-year-old Firefighter Theodore Baxter, Scott's father, 24-year-old Firefighter Joseph Hastings, Deputy Fire Chief Clyde Ross.
