Since we are in a dead-zone for wrestling tournaments, and the Bubbletown Girls Wrestling Club includes many baseball/softball players, we thought it would be great to highlight varsity wrestler Ava Palmer’s travel softball team. Her team, the South Mountain Cyclones, is ranked in the top five… IN THE COUNTRY! Keep the foot on the gas, Cyclones!

It has been two weeks since one of our girls wrestled in a tournament, and Emily Dolan is about to end our hiatus. Emily will be wrestling at the NHSCA National Duals in Virginia Beach this weekend for the Wrecking Crew Dream Crushers.
This is the most competitive dual meet tournament in the U.S., with wrestlers on 68 teams descending on Virginia Beach from all over the country. Wrestling gets underway Saturday at the Virginia Beach Sports Center.
Best of luck to Emily, and the Dream Crushers!

Wrestling for the day is complete for Karsyn and Michaela.
Karsyn closed out her last freestyle qualifier of the year in dominating fashion. She hit her opponent with two 4-point throws, the last of which ended with a fall and a first place finish. Congratulations to Karsyn and we cannot wait to see her back on the mat again.
Michaela wrestled very well in her first freestyle matches and has more wrestling to do this weekend. Even though she wrestled up a weight class, she was still very aggressive and scored points with rolls or takedowns and helped the Central Pennies to a spot in the silver pool. Wrestling begins again tomorrow at 8am. Good luck tomorrow, Michaela!

Two of our wrestlers are back on the mat today! First up, Michaela Richards joined our friends at the Central Pennies club team to compete in the very-competitive Ultimate Club Spring Freestyle Duals - held at the Farm Show Complex. Michaela has been working very hard this offseason and we wish her the best today!
Karsyn Hoover will be back on the mat for her fourth, and final, freestyle tournament of the spring at Northern York High School. She has come a long way in just her first year of wrestling and we also wish her the best!
Keep up the good work, Lady Bubblers.

Weekend Recap: We had five wrestlers compete over the weekend, and they came ready to wrestle. First up, Bryn, Karsyn and Sharlotte put in more freestyle mat time at the Northampton PAUSA State Qualifier. These three were aggressive throughout the day, with each of them reaching double digits in points or winning by fall in at least one match.
Next up, Ava and Olivia both wrestled tough at the MAWA West Region tournament that was held at the Nittany Lions Sports Center in State College. Olivia placed second and Ava fourth, which qualified them both for Eastern Nationals, which will be the first weekend of May in Salisbury, MD.
Congratulations to these five wrestlers. They are working hard and it shows.
