Ladies Opening Day 2012
Enjoying dinner after a windy 18 holes on the course. Pictures to be posted later tonight!
Our 18 Hole Ladies League Closing Day is only one week away, Tuesday, October 4th. The tournament is a 1:00 shotgun with dinner to follow. The format is "Alternate Scramble" in teams of ABCD players or as close to that as possible via computer picks. All players tee off of every hole, choose the best drive, then alternate shots based on the order you are listed on the scorecard. Once on the green, all players may putt from the best position. Once the ball is holed the hole is finished.

Dave Pelz Golf Tip
Today's Tip: 7/10/2010 With a ball below your feet, stand closer to the ball and lower your body down to it (squat) by bending your knees. If the ball is not too far below your feet, you can keep your spine-angle normal while squatting, ... continue

Putting Tip from Dave Pelz: One key thing in putting: Do not confuse your pre-shot “ritual” with your pre-shot “routine” – They are not synonymous. Your pre-shot “routine” is the sequence of actions you take to prepare yourself to execute your stroke. It includes estimating the length of the putt, the slope of the green, the amount of break you expect the putt to encounter, and standing behind the hole to estimate the curve the putt will roll along as it approaches the cup. Your “routine also includes all of your practice strokes. Your “routine starts when you start reading the green and ends just before you step into your putt address position and start your pre-shot “ritual”.
Your pre-shot “ritual” is then a set of repeatable and rhythmic movements which set the stage for your actual stroke motion (the take away and through stroke). Your “ritual” should be so well practiced and grooved (automatic), that it takes you out of your conscious or thinking mind, and allows your subconscious mind to make an exact duplicate of the practice stroke you just committed to, a stroke that is comfortable, positive, and free of hesitation, negative thoughts or doubt.
