“Mo” is a 10-year-old, 16.1h Dutch Warmblood gelding who is truly an absolute dreamboat. He recently had a very successful season at WEC in the USHJA 2’9” and is equally happy packing someone around the crossrails or stepping up to 3’.
He is safe, quiet, soft in the mouth, easy to turn, and has smooth gaits with good lead changes. He doesn’t need to see the jumps, doesn’t require prep, and doesn’t get fresh. You can ride him with a crop, without one, or with practically nothing at all. He is more of a push ride, but he isn’t a robot—you do still have to use your leg. 🙂
Mo would be a wonderful choice for a timid adult, a kid moving onto a horse, or someone looking for their first 2’6” partner. He has enough quality and experience to be competitive while still being forgiving and confidence-building. Although his main job has been in the hunters, he could also be fun for someone interested in dressage or eventing.
He is just as lovely to have in the barn as he is to ride—sweet, easy to handle, a good doer, and basically a big dog who loves attention. He is currently sound with no known issues.
This is a genuinely special horse, and whoever ends up with him will be very lucky. 🍀
