Dileo Farm Eventing

The squirrel got some Xc playtime yesterday. She sure has come a long way, and even in just the last two months she has made serious progress across the board. She’s far from easy, and still has a long way to go, but I’m very proud of her progress thus far. ♥️

Now THIS is a thoroughbred. 💯

Took princess Macy to the local show at Mahan yesterday. She put in some lovely small practice rounds, which were clearly too easy, but being that it was her first time back in a ring since last year, easy and relaxed was the intention. As time goes on, I’m starting to see less nervous squirrel moments and more quiet consistency. It’s been a long time coming, but each horse’s journey is different and I am in no rush. Onwards and upwards!

Finally some content for the gram! Between a full time job and managing a farm on my own, my schedule has been crazy to say the least. The squirrel is back to full time work which makes me super happy. I’ve missed this little firecracker. Still much work to be done, but that’s the fun in it all. 👏🏻

Great weekend at Red Hills HT for Kenzo. Only added some time to his dressage score of 25.8.
So much improvement in his performance. There’s still work to be done, but that’s the name of the sport. And he’s well worth it. ♥️

Day 2 of is complete, and I couldn’t be more proud of Kenzo. Despite my less than perfect riding, he tried so hard and kept all the rails up! We definitely have some homework, but overall there has been an immense improvement in our communication/performance and that’s all I could have wished for today. Onto XC tomorrow!

Light jump school this afternoon. Good boy, Kenzo. Let the best weekend all year begin. 👏🏻
