Friday mornings at Redding City Ballet are now open for homeschool families and students who are available during the day.

We’re offering two morning ballet classes designed to give young dancers a strong foundation in classical technique while building coordination, flexibility, endurance, and musicality.

Morning Children’s Beginner Ballet
Ages 6–9

Morning Children’s Beg/Int Ballet
Ages 9–12

Both classes meet once per week for 60 minutes on Friday mornings.

A thoughtful daytime ballet option for homeschool families and students with flexible schedules.

Matinee Mini Auditions!

We are thrilled to our “Matinee Mini Dancers” to a magical opportunity designed for ages 4–6!

This special program gives our youngest performers their first taste of the stage without the late-night commitments of the full cast.

Matinee Mini Dancers will perform alongside the full cast during our Nutcracker matinees at the Cascade Theatre, December 12 & 13.

Audition Day: Saturday, September 26
1:00–1:30 PM · Parent Information Meeting

This is a chance for dancers and families to ask questions about the audition process, roles, rehearsal expectations, schedules, and what to expect throughout Nutcracker season.

The meeting will be held at the Redding City Ballet studio:

Nutcracker auditions will follow on Saturday, August 29.

Join Redding City Ballet for The Nutcracker Auditions on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 935 Locust St., Redding.

Audition times:
10:00 AM – Children ages 6–9
11:00 AM – Children ages 10–13
12:30 PM – Advanced dancers 13+
2:30 PM – Teen/Adult Character

There will also be an Audition Information Meeting on Thursday, August 27 at 7:00 PM.
