Hi running friends near and far.
Aiming for 30 teams to make the relays possible. Decision will be made right before shirt go to print on Sept 9th.

We are currently at 9 teams.
Costs of putting on races has increased.
From Porta potties to shirts, insurance etc.
$20.00 of each person's $35.00 entry is expense leaving $15.00 for the scholarship fund 🙂

Whiskeytown Relays The Whiskeytown Relays is a 4 person team run around the lake! It is a Sunday morning full of fun !Come out and enjoy a "Sunday Run Around the Lake"

The history of this race goes decades. Records set by teams near and far. Teams like THE NECK TIES , SKIRTS TO CHASE and RUNING WITH SCISSORS .
The SWEAT Running Club in conjunction with advise from the race director and local authorities has decided to move the event to Lema Ranch.
Due to low sign ups to date and agencies like the CHP and Sheriff's Department maxed out we feel it is the best choice .

Whiskeytown Lake.

Get your teams together for the September 19th Whiskeytown Relays. This race needs between 40 to 50 teams to make the race profitable for SWEAT. Remember SWEAT is a 501C3. The organization has awarded 100s of scholarships to local high school runners over the last 50 years

Registration is open for the Whiskeytown Relays! Team captains, sign up and create a team name . Once that is completed, your team mates can join the team by logging on and following the prompts.

Think ahead to 2021 and know that the race has not disappeared , it is just taking a long vacation.
The issues that SWEAT is facing include lack of buses for a relay at the lake and then the inability to get a permit if we were to hold it at Lema Ranch again this year.
