Quality and Reliability Veterinary Anesthesia Machines that has stood the test of time.

The year was 1997. Our patient was a 400-pound lioness.

The San Diego Wild Animal Park had just bought a Mallard Model 2800B and invited our founder Bob Pearson down to in-service the ventilator β€” on a live lion.

They darted her, carried her in, and Bob intubated her (a skill he first learned as a Navy Medical Corpsman). The team ran a full physical, dental work, and claw care while the 2800B held her steady.

When it was over, they moved her to a recovery cage. Minutes later she roared so loudly it scared the daylights out of Bob. The staff just smiled β€” "She's recovering nicely."

Nearly 30 years later, the Model 2800C still does this work in zoos and aquariums worldwide.

Some patients you never forget. 🦁

What's a job you'll never forget?

Every life-saving machine we ship starts at a workbench β€” and at one of ours, you'll find Dan Reed.

Dan is a Master Machinist and one of the quiet backbones of Mallard Medical. The kind of craftsman who measures twice, cuts once, and somehow makes precision look easy. The parts he shapes end up inside anesthesia machines and ventilators caring for everything from house cats to thousand-pound horses.

This week, with the 4th of July around the corner, it feels like the right time to say it out loud: Mallard equipment is built here, by hand, by people like Dan. American craftsmanship isn't a slogan for us β€” it's a guy at a machine, getting every thousandth of an inch right because a patient on the other end is counting on it.

So before the long weekend kicks off, thank you, Dan. And thank you to every maker out there who takes pride in building things that matter. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Someone who builds the machines and supports the customers who use them.

Meet Demitrius Thompson β€” Mallard Medical's newest team member.

Demitrius joins us in a role that sits at the heart of everything we do: manufacturing and building Mallard machines on the production floor, and supporting the customers who depend on them every day. It's a rare combination β€” someone who understands how a machine is built and genuinely cares about the person on the other end of the phone.

That combination matters more than most people realize. When a customer calls with a question about their anesthesia equipment, the difference between a good answer and a great one is often whether the person helping them has actually worked with the machine. Demitrius will have that experience from day one.

What stood out to us immediately was his drive to keep learning. In this industry, equipment evolves, protocols change, and the cases our customers are managing never stop being complex. Someone who's hungry to understand more β€” not just enough β€” is exactly who we want standing behind our products.

Welcome to the team, Demitrius. We're glad you're here.

If you're in the veterinary anesthesia world and ever need support, you just might hear from him.

If you've ever called us with a question, Doug was probably the one who answered β€” and knew the answer before you finished asking. πŸ™Œ

Doug Mueller is our Head of Customer Service and the steady heartbeat behind everything we do at Mallard Medical. He's the guy who makes sure every customer feels taken care of, every single time.

We're lucky to have him. Plain and simple.

This is what it looks like when a Mallard 2800CP arrives in a new country. 🐴

Last week our machine landed in India β€” and within days, 20-25 vets, doctors, and techs were gathered around the table for a colic surgery.

Students filming. Senior vets leaning in. Techs taking notes. An entire generation of equine professionals learning hands-on.

Colic is one of the most time-sensitive emergencies in equine medicine. Getting this machine into the right hands β€” and teaching people to use it well β€” turns one install into countless lives saved.

We don't just ship machines. We help save lives.

Eight months of regulatory work. One very proud moment.

Mallard Medical is now officially registered as a certified medical device in India β€” and our first delivery went directly to the military of India.

Getting here wasn't fast. But doing it right never is.

We build equipment that performs in the world's most demanding environments. Earning the trust of a new country β€” through a rigorous process, the right way β€” is something we'll always be proud of.

India is a big market. We're just getting started.
