This is what it looks like when a Mallard 2800CP arrives in a new country. π΄
Last week our machine landed in India β and within days, 20-25 vets, doctors, and techs were gathered around the table for a colic surgery.
Students filming. Senior vets leaning in. Techs taking notes. An entire generation of equine professionals learning hands-on.
Colic is one of the most time-sensitive emergencies in equine medicine. Getting this machine into the right hands β and teaching people to use it well β turns one install into countless lives saved.
We don't just ship machines. We help save lives.

Safety doesn't stop at the OR doors.
At Mallard Medical, we design ventilators and anesthesia machines built for the most demanding clinical environments β including MRI suites where precision and safety must coexist.
Anesthesiologists deserve equipment they can rely on at every critical moment. That's the standard we build to.

Eight months of regulatory work. One very proud moment.
Mallard Medical is now officially registered as a certified medical device in India β and our first delivery went directly to the military of India.
Getting here wasn't fast. But doing it right never is.
We build equipment that performs in the world's most demanding environments. Earning the trust of a new country β through a rigorous process, the right way β is something we'll always be proud of.
India is a big market. We're just getting started.

The people behind the machines.
Joshua Millage, CEO. Doug Mueller, Head of Customer Service. Two of the people who keep Mallard Medical running like a well-oiled machine β from the engineering decisions that go into every anesthesia unit we build to the phone calls that happen when a veterinary team needs answers fast.
We're not a giant corporation. We're a team that picks up the phone, solves problems, and stands behind every piece of equipment we ship.
Great machines start with great people.

Would you believe this was once cutting-edge veterinary anesthesia technology? π€―
This copper apparatus β pressure gauges, brass valves, ornate claw-foot stand and all β was doing the same fundamental job that today's precision ventilators do. Just a little differently.
The Veterinary Anesthesia Museum in Rossville, Indiana holds over a century of this kind of ingenuity. Every piece is a reminder that the safety and precision veterinarians have today was built on decades of innovation and dedication to animal care.
Mallard Medical is proud to be part of that story. π¦

We hear this story a lot from the veterinary teams we work with.
A patient comes in that's bigger β or smaller β than the anesthesia equipment on hand was designed for. The team makes it work because that's what they do. But it shouldn't have to be that way.
When a machine can't deliver the right tidal volume, or a breathing circuit isn't matched to the species on the table, the clinical team ends up compensating for an equipment limitation. Every adjustment is one more thing to manage during an already high-stakes procedure.
At Mallard Medical , this is the problem we set out to solve. We don't build one machine and call it universal. We design and manufacture anesthesia machines and ventilators purpose-built for the patients they'll actually support β small animal, large animal, and everything in between.
Your team's skill shouldn't have to make up for equipment that wasn't built for the job.
What's the toughest equipment mismatch your clinic has had to navigate? We'd love to hear your story.

Last week we got off a video call with some of our partners out in LA.
They reached out because they had questions about our MRI-compatible ventilator. How to use it, what to watch for, and how to feel fully confident in an environment that already has enough variables working against you.
Anesthesia and ventilation in a standard OR is complex enough. Put that same patient inside an MRI suite, and everything changes. The magnetic field, the spatial limitations, the monitoring constraints. The equipment has to be right. The protocol has to be right. And the team running it has to feel completely prepared.
That's exactly why we offer free training and support to every customer using our equipment. Not as an upsell. Not as a checkbox. Just because it's the right thing to do.
By the end of the call, you could hear the shift. Questions turned into confidence. Our partners left better equipped and more knowledgeable than when we started, and honestly, that's the part of this job we never get tired of.
We're not here to ship equipment and move on. We're in it with you.
If your team ever has questions about our MRI-compatible systems, or just wants a refresher, reach out. That's what we're here for.

Nobody sees the 45 minutes our tech spends on a machine after it's already been signed off.
He wasn't fixing anything. He was just... checking. One more time.
That machine was headed to a zoo, bound for an anesthesia team that would be using it on animals most of us have only ever seen through glass. When I asked him why the extra time, he looked up and said, "Because I want to be able to sleep at night."
That's the culture at Mallard Medical.
Every ventilator and anesthesia machine that leaves our floor in Redding goes through a full multi-point bench test before it ships, whether it's headed to a university teaching hospital, an equine surgical suite, or a zoo procedure that took months to plan. Not because we have to. Because the people on the other end of these machines are counting on them when the stakes are real.
We got into this industry because of the mission. We stay because of the people, both on our team and in the field, who treat every patient like they're the only one.
