The '02 Black is finally back in action at National Cup after missing last year's competition due to injuries.

We are still missing a few players, but have picked up a couple of additional players to help us on this year's journey.

We started in San Bernardino yesterday with a 2-1 win over LA Galaxy South Bay. Two more tough games next weekend (at the Silverlakes Soccer Complex in Norco) to complete the first round.

It's good to be back at it! Go Breakers!

Sunday morning at the SWSC Summer Classic saw our '02 Black lose a tough game to AYSO Matrix 0-1. That put these same two teams through to the final in what would prove to be a very physical Championship match.
Our girls handled it well though finishing a long, hot weekend in Temecula with a 2-0 victory! Overall, the girls finished an impressive weekend with 7 goals for while only conceding 1.
A great start to the summer tournament season and another big thanks to our guest players who covered admirably for our injured five.
We look forward to continued growth and improvement under our newest Breaker family member, Coach David Linenberger!

For the first time in quite some time our team was back on the pitch competing. We are playing in the SWSC Summer Classic. Our first two games resulted in two clean sheets- a 3-0 win over Los Angeles Salsa and a 2-0 win over Barca Cantera.
Tomorrow we play AYSO Matrix with the final at 3:30 in Temecula. Yes, we are already through to the final.
A big thanks to the '03's and '02 Blues's that helped us out as we wait for our injured group to return.
It was great having our injured players and their parents make the trek to Temecula to cheer on the team. Bella, Kassandra, Laila and Keely get well soon!

Eight members of the 02-Black met on the pitch last night in a battle between Vista High School and Mission Vista High School. Five play for Vista and three for Mission Vista.
Vista came away with a 1-0 result in a very highly contested match. After the game, there were an abundance of smiles and hugs. Not only between the players, but the parents as well. Good times.

It was another hot one in San Juan Capistrano but the team was up to it defeating the Simi Valley Eclipse 1-0. Simi Valley nearly pulled even as a last second foul in the box resulted in a penalty kick for Simi Valley. Fortunately, the shot went wide and the Breakers G02 Black moved their CSL record to 3-1-1.

This weekend the team pulled out its first victory with an impressive 3-1 win over LA Premier FC. It was very hot in Irvine, but the team was able to pull away in the second half after trailing 0-1 early in the match.
As we welcome back Michi from her injury, we have learned that Laila has a torn ACL and will be sidelined for the rest of the season. Tough luck Laila, we know you will come back stronger than ever.

Our season began this weekend with a tough match on Saturday against a very good Fram team in nearly 100° heat in San Bernardino. We lost a close one 0-1.
Sunday brought us back to Oceanside (and 73°) against a familiar foe LA Galaxy San Diego (fmr Carlsbad United). Another very tough match ended in a 0-0 tie.
We are hoping for a quick return from Michelle who suffered a sprained ankle on Saturday. She was only able to watch on her crutches on Sunday. Get well soon Michi!
