We (all of us at Orca Running) are so excited to announce the purchase of Lake Sammamish Half Marathon! It is an honor to call this race ours. We hope to build on the same great race experiences Dana and her crew have created. We feel confident in being able to produce a safe race for all participants, volunteers, and staff and will follow all safety precautions. Race day will be March 6th and Registration will open next Monday, November 9th!

A huge thank you to my family for helping to put together packets last weekend and to my daughter Julie who spen a few hours at the post office with 3 registers going to send out a few hundred today.

After many emails for address changes - Packets are on their way! I have packaged and mailed letters S-Z -
YES I started at the end of the alphabet ;-)

Thank you everyone for your patience! I am getting about 80-100 packets out a day. Please wait until October 9th before checking in to see if your packet was mailed.

IMPORTANT If you live in an apartment complex and did NOT put your unit number on the packet they will be dropped off at the office if there is one. Please check there before you email and ask. Any returned packets I will email that person directly.

Hello Runners!

We have fought long and hard to put on a in person race this year for the Lake Sammamish Half. With the last announcement from Governor Inslee taking the state back on their phases we are not going to be able to hold the 2020 Lake Sammamish Half as planned.

This year we will be celebrating the 2020 Lake Sammamish Half VIRTUALLY!

Through this difficult time we are happy that we can offer a virtual race, to keep spirits up, and people healthy. I know many runners set goals with this race, and we are excited to continue to support your running goals virtually this year.
I will be mailing out packets over the next few weeks, and all preregistered runners will be receiving an email in the next few days with instructions.

I know many of you will have additional questions, please wait until you receive your email before emailing. As you can imagine I receive many emails daily and do my best to get back to everyone but it does take some time.

We will also be announcing some new and exciting news regarding the 2021 season in the next couple of weeks, please keep your eye out for a newsletter.

Thank you all for your support over the years we look forward to a great virtual race this year and an exciting racing season for 2021!
