Super excited for Natyashiksha’s upcoming thematic bharatanatyam showcase - “Muralidhara - A Krishna Leela” on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 @ Carco Theater, Renton. Natyashiksha’s annual thematic showcase “Kailasam” was a grand success! Thanks to all who came to cheer the performers and support the noble cause. Raina Lodha
Raina Lodha works as an engineering manager at Microsoft. Besides her passion for dancing, she likes hiking, traveling, reading and solving puzzles. She started learning Bharatanatyam two years ago under Sangeetha’s expert guidance. She is looking forward
to performing at the annual day recital and supporting the Ampowering charity organization.
Sumithra Balakrishnan
Sumithra started learning Bharatanatyam at Natyasiksha School of dance once her kids were off to college. Sumi enjoys learning this dance form from Sangeetha Ramanathan and is looking forward to performing her 3rd Annual recital with the school and
help raise funds for Ampowering Charity organization! Apart from dance, Sumi enjoys outdoor activities such as – hiking, gardening, Skiing etc during her free time.
Divya Sreekumar
Divya started learning Bharathanatyam as a child under various teachers but found her true guru, Sangeetha akka, later on. She enjoys how Sangeetha akka makes each session enjoyable while pushing students to new heights. Beyond the dance floor, she finds joy in exploring new destinations through travel and embarking on road trips. Divya works in the tech industry and lives with her husband and toddler.

Arpita Banerji
Arpita learnt Bharatnatyam dance as a child for 3 years and as an adult started learning again with Sangeetha after a gap of almost 40 years. She loves the art form and the cardio aspect is a bonus. She works in the tech industry and her spare time is for dance, music, painting, puzzles and day trips.
Gayathri Nandakumar
Gayathri has been learning Bharatanatyam with Sangeetha for close to 3 years now. She enjoys singing and listening to myriad collections. She finds dance to be a completely different yet beautiful way to express oneself.

Jaanvi has been learning Bharatnatyam for 2.5 years under the tutelage of Sangeetha Ramanathan. Jaanvi is also a talented athlete and plays soccer with a local area club. She also loves arts and crafts and plays the piano and flute. Jaanvi is excited to perform in her third annual day performance with Natyashiksha Dance Academy.
