Summer is here and so is one of our favorite South Bay traditions!
Join BCHD for the Summer Free Fitness Series, including Mindful Yoga on the Beach on Mondays at 6:30 p.m. in Hermosa Beach and outdoor Zumba classes. These free community classes are open to all ages and fitness levels — just bring your mat, water, sunscreen and a towel, and get ready to move with us outdoors. Grab a friend, enjoy the sunshine and make movement part of your summer routine!

Our former virtual-only classes are now offered onsite and still streaming, giving members more flexibility to choose what works best for them. Join us in person at the Center for the energy of a live class or keep moving from the comfort and convenience of home. 📓A Quick Note About Insurance-Based Memberships:
Many CHF members use programs like SilverSneakers, Renew Active and Silver & Fit at little or no cost. CHF is only reimbursed when members come in, scan their card and use the facility.
Since June 2025, our community has logged more than 100,000 insurance-based workouts!
Help keep the momentum going by visiting at least 10 times each month. Every visit supports your health and helps keep CHF programs strong.

Beach Cities Summer Free Fitness is back with Mindful Yoga on the Beach and Zumba in the Park on Mondays starting June 8 through August 24! Join us for the first session in our annual Summer Free Fitness Series in Hermosa Beach!
Located just south of the Hermosa Beach Pier on the sand, adjacent to Scotty’s on the Strand.
Monday, June 8
6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
You can unwind and enjoy the waves as you settle into some gentle yoga with our CHF Instructors. It's free, you just need to bring your towel or yoga mat.

Join us for Sound Bath sessions with Sarah Kuruvilla of Vedic Vibes Himalayan Sounds & Retreats on Fridays in June at the Center for Health & Fitness. This guided meditative experience uses soothing Himalayan sound instruments to help quiet the mind, ease stress and support deep relaxation.

Level up your lower‑body strength this June with the CHF Wall Sit Challenge!
Start at 20 seconds and add 10 each day — aiming for a 5‑minute hold by month’s end. Go at your own pace and listen to your body.
Want an extra boost? Try the weekly “Bring Sally Up” challenge using Moby’s “Flower.”
“Bring Sally Down” = squat or wall sit.
“Bring Sally Up” = stand.
Stick with the beat for the full 3.5 minutes if you can!
