Bray Ranches offers an excellent getaway to experience nature on a working cattle ranch. We have cabins and houses available for rent to year round.

The ranch is 20,000 acres of private property nestled among the San Juan Mountains of Southwestern Colorado. Our ranch is perfect for hunters, hikers, fishermen or those who just want to get out and see wildlife. Large herds of mule deer and elk in addition to black bear are found across the ranch. We invite you to explore the land replete with artifacts from native inhabitants, or book a retreat to see the ranch under the serene western skies. All of our cabins have running hot and cold water with full bathroom facilities, kitchens with cook stoves and refrigerators, as well as complete bedrooms. The hunting operation is a family business. We offer hunting packages for individuals or groups across breathtaking landscapes of high-terrain mountain country, from our high mesas and large hills to the deep draws and canyons. We can provide all levels of service for your hunt including guides and meals to make your hunt an enjoyable experience. Jimmy got it done in about the most picturesque spot you could ask for. Some cow hunts happen in a muddy ditch; this wasn't one of them.

Stalking through the oak brush, the guys stayed on him one track at a time. Ron made his shot. They all made it count.

He sat on the hill above a sage flat, with a bull bedded somewhere below him. Eventually the bull stood up and gave him the shot, and the sunset over the ridge was already going blood red.

Congratulations to Tim Murray on a nice six point bull! We had him loaded on the side-by-side well after dark, which is the best kind of late night.

After the rain came down, the elk came down.

The storm moved through the day before, and by evening the bull had worked his way out of hiding and into the sage. Andrew made a good shot right at last light; a six point bull under a sliver of moon. Hard to plan a better evening than that.

Antlers around Lone Cone. No name under it, just the mark.

Our proud local landmark, with antlers off a buck taken on the ranch last year. Same mark that goes on everything else around here, and it's on most of what's in the store now. Hoodies, tees, long sleeves, hats, phone cases, a travel mug and a water bottle. Blaze orange is one of the hoodie options, which beats getting mistaken for a stump in the timber.
