Peninsula Youth Sailing Foundation (PYSF)

Peninsula Youth Sailing Foundation (PYSF) Sail Fast, Sail Fun www.PYSF.us Peninsula Youth Sailing Foundation, (PYSF), is a non-profit 501c (3) that was formed in the year 2002.

The primary mission of PYSF is to coach, teach and nurture youth sailors in the Bay Area. PYSF is located in Redwood City and has two venues at the Port of Redwood City and at Westpoint Harbor. Any youth that is interested in sailing can take classes at PYSF. Scholarships are available to help get all sailors on the water. When the foundation was formed, parents donated a fleet of ten Flying Juniors. In subsequent years the club has been fortunate to be the recipient of boat donations and have the leadership of its Executive Director to foster the program’s growth and offer more sailing experiences to youth in the Bay Area

Way to go Ocean Queen V! Heading into the last day of racing in second Rolex Big Boat Series really proud of all the volunteers and the High School sailors who have worked so hard. Day 2 of the Rolex Big Boat Series hosted by St. Francis Yacht Club was another success with tight racing Ocean Queen finished 2nd by just 26 sec! New Program Alert! ‼️ Introducing PYSF’s new STEM program integrating science,sailing, and sustainability. We have a mission to teach young students how to sail but also teach them the why of sailing and the how we can protect the waters we enjoy so much. We start our STEM programming with a class offered for Home School Students there will be more classes coming out soon including a middle school visit program. Stay Tuned!

A windy final day to cap off the 2026 WASZP CA States! We kept the regatta in our basin today due to the high wind gusts, we got creative making a funky starboard triangle course but it worked. Congratulations to the athletes for a well sailed regatta. A big thank you to 11th Hour Racing for supporting all our regattas this season and for helping us electrify the race course and reduce fuel. Today we used zero RC boats just electric marks!
