What a way to start the season!

Our 15-1 West Boys battled all weekend, finished 4–2 and officially moved up in Power League! More importantly, this group brought energy, stayed hungry to learn and kept getting better with every match.

First tournament of the season is in the books for Academy Boys 14-1 West!

Three coaches. Decades of experience across professional, international, national-team and collegiate volleyball. (fun fact, they are all from Canada 🇨🇦)

Coach Mike has coached in five countries across three continents. He led Middelfart Volleyball Club to its first Danish Cup victory in 41 years and was named Danish Volleyball Coach of the Year.

Coach Tyler played professionally in Austria and Luxembourg before moving into university and youth coaching.

Coach Keith has been coaching since 1996, with nearly 20 years of collegiate experience across NCAA Division I, NAIA and U SPORTS programs. His background also includes volleyball analytics and collegiate strength and conditioning.

Their experiences are different, but they share one goal: helping Academy athletes learn, grow and reach their potential.

This is their profession. This is Why Academy.

Did you know Coach Andrea led Bulgaria to a bronze medal at the 2023 FIVB U21 World Championship?

With more than 30 years of experience developing elite athletes—including 10 years with Trentino Volley—Coach Andrea has helped shape players who went on to compete at the highest levels of international volleyball.

Now, he brings that knowledge, experience and championship standard into the Academy gym.

Our first week of Fall League is officially in the books — and the courts were FULL.

So much energy, competition, teamwork, and growth across every age group. We loved seeing athletes step into game situations, compete with their teams, and bring the effort from the first whistle to the last point.

And of course, shoutout to our Week 1 MVPs for setting the tone! 👏

What does it mean when volleyball is your profession and your passion?

Coach Nanda is a London 2012 Olympic Champion and former Brazilian National Team setter. Coach Gui has coached at two Olympic Games and was part of the coaching staff behind a 2015 FIVB World Championship gold medal and Rio 2016 Olympic silver.

That world-class experience is now inside the Academy gym, helping develop our next generation of athletes.
