Diamond State Ducks 10U

Regrettably, DSD 10U did not have the turnout to field a team this 2024/2025 season. Thanks to all those who participated in tryouts and good luck this season.

Exciting news! Diamond State Ducks 10U have partnered with Coach Chris Calciano for weekly professional hitting instruction through the late fall and winter months this 2024/2025 season. Coach Calciano is a local Boston Red Sox scout and hitting instructor my former baseball teams have worked with in the past. His daughter is a ballplayer at Cape and recently accepted a full scholarship to play ball at UConn. Coach Calciano has long been committed to developing softball and baseball players in the Cape region through his hitting clinics and Turn Two camps.

We can hardly wait to get the new season started. Let’s go, Ducks! 🦆🥎💪

Heads up! Diamond State Ducks 10U will be holding additional tryouts from 6-8PM on Wednesday, 7/31 and 2-4PM on Sunday, 8/4, both at 105 N Church in Greenwood. You can still pre-register at: diamondstateducks.com

Hello all,

I am excited to introduce myself as the new head coach of the Diamond State Ducks 10U team, a role I am truly honored to take on. Our team has seen remarkable success locally and on a national level, and I am committed to building on that strong foundation.

As an assistant coach for the Ducks, I have learned invaluable lessons from Coach Leon Johnson, whose methods and dedication have been instrumental in the team’s development and achievements. It has truly been a blessing for my daughter, Audreigh, to play under Coach Leon as he is hands down the best coach I’ve ever been around. My coaching journey includes developing a former Bagel Bombers baseball team from an inexperienced 10U squad to a successful, championship-level 12U team. I am eager to bring that experience to our Ducks team.

In addition to leveraging these experiences and learning under Coach Leon, I want to focus on core values that I believe are crucial for our success: work ethic, teamwork, respect, personal responsibility, integrity, and faith. These principles will guide our approach and help us achieve our goals both on and off the field.

We look forward to meeting all the players and their families at upcoming Diamond State Ducks tryouts.
