A huge thank you to the crew for their hard work this morning. A total of 47 courts have been set up. Let's hope the weather stays favorable and the tide remains low.

To everyone doing their sand dances - well done! Thankfully the beach has recovered from 2 weeks ago, and we are adding courts to the tournament. 🏐

If you were on a waitlist go check your entries (you have been entered), and if you were waiting to sign up now is the time!! ⏰

There may still be some slope, and the beach is not quite as wide as previously, but that comes with holding tournaments on natural beaches and deep sand. Given a few weeks ago we are beyond happy with how it looks, and reminded why we love this place! 🏝️

Setup starts this morning so if you’re around come say hi! You can’t miss us (mobs of people with half built volleyball courts?) and we…probably…won’t toss you in the ocean 🌊

BEACH UPDATE

After a trip to the beach, unfortunately it is clear storms have taken their toll and there is far less open beach than previous years. This is disappointing, but we will adapt as best we can!
What that means for First Rites:

✅Registration will have to be capped earlier this year
✅As divisions fill we will have waitlist spots!
✅Come Friday (setup day) we will get as many courts up as possible! Some courts may be hug the dunes - there will be a slant
✅If there is space for more courts we will email waitlist entries as EARLY AS POSSIBLE! That there is room for them to play

What that means for you: Register ASAP. Some divisions are already filling. (Also a reminder that Sunday is usually smaller, and may have more openings!👀)

We love having our tournament on true, natural beaches (and real, deep sand). The flip side is Mother Nature gets a vote! The beach may run thin, and may not be perfectly flat some years. We’ll do everything we can to get as many courts up as possible.

We still can’t wait to get out there and spend the weekend with friends, family, and a whole lot of 🏐. Any questions please reach out directly and we’re here to help!
