This year was a good ice fishing round. In the beginning of the season we had low snow and cold inversions at night, so access and ice build up was epic. We were able to fish areas that I have not been able to get to in the past, so it was fresh in many ways. February was inline until we got what seemed like a full winter lockdown. It was a lot of work, snow like that makes access very difficult, and insulates the snow potentially ruining the ice below. After 6 days of snow removal, creating paths, uncovering vehicles, it started raining. Everything we gained was gone in two days. The creeks and rivers influxes with water - filling our reservoirs - breaking the ice from the shore and creating even more danger to access. So it ended fast, reely fast. The ice is holding on too, there is ways to do it, but not worth the risk. Plus everything around is looking primo. Picked up a rainbow in minutes, nightmare Pisces outdoors spoon, cast them from shore. Stay Fishy with Pisces Outdoors Group Truckee, California

Had another excellent day on the ice, catching trout with gear. From drilling the first hole with the Clam drill adapter - to the last fish caught on the predator automatic tip up. It was a good day fishing great products. C560 Thermal hub is now the 600 model, they boost a little room in their current line. Personally very happy with this easy to set and break down hut. We had fish chasing and thrashing Drop Jigs, Pinheads, and Tikka Flash lures. Slapped with some Pro Cure, and it is for sure! Ice remains thick and strong for now, hopefully our cold weather moves back in. Say no to the heat until April, and Stay Fishy with Pisces Outdoors.

California ice fishing is heating up, next couple days look warm. Certainly would like to see some colder weather and some storms in the near future. Mack’s Lure just get’em at this lake. That is a Hummdinger if you never seen it, they catch! 13” of ice at Prosser Reservoir. Stay fishy with Pisces Outdoors.

Pyramid is an amazing place to hang on a rainy day! Was able to put two beautiful cutthroat trout to net on the new #4 Northern Lights spinner. Casted on a rod with President 35, loaded with 12lbs floro-clear line. Rainy and cold means better be in your box (waders, boots, jackets, gloves, flannels, downs, socks) let’s just say that Simms has you covered!!! Stay Fishy and join or watch a video on the YouTuber.
