2017 CFCA 🏈 🏈

🏈 CFCA Γ— MLFA β€” BUILDING A NEW MOVEMENT FOR 2027 🏈

The California Football Conference Association (CFCA), working alongside the Minor League Football Alliance (MLFA), is introducing a new competitive structure for the 2027 Spring Season.

Our goal is to create structure, accountability, competitive balance, organizational growth, and a legitimate pathway to postseason and national bowl opportunities.

πŸ”₯ ONE REGULAR SEASON β€” TWO PLAYOFF DIVISIONS

We want to make one thing very clear:

Division 1 and Division 2 will NOT be separated during the regular season.

All CFCA teams will compete against one another throughout an 8-game regular season, with each team playing 4 home games and 4 away games. Teams will have the opportunity to prove themselves on the field regardless of whether they are an established organization or a first-year program.

At the conclusion of the regular season, teams will be separated into Division 1 and Division 2 for the playoffs based on our new CFCA Ranking Formula.

πŸ† DIVISION 1 β€” PREMIER PLAYOFFS

The highest-ranked qualifying teams will advance to the Division 1 playoffs and compete for the CFCA Division 1 Championship.

πŸ“ˆ DIVISION 2 β€” DEVELOPMENT PLAYOFFS

The qualifying teams placed in the second tier of the rankings will advance to the Division 2 playoffs and compete for the CFCA Division 2 Championship.

YOU DON’T CHOOSE YOUR DIVISION β€” YOU EARN YOUR DIVISION.

πŸ“Š NEW CFCA RANKING SYSTEM

We have developed a new ranking formula designed to evaluate more than just a team’s overall record.

The formula will take established competitive factors into consideration, including:

β€’ Win/Loss Record
β€’ Strength of Schedule
β€’ Quality Wins
β€’ League Standing
β€’ Point Differential
β€’ Games Played
β€’ Head-to-Head Results
β€’ Postseason Qualification Criteria

This means a team’s complete body of work will help determine where that organization is placed when the regular season is completed.

🚨 FORFEIT GAMES WILL NOT COUNT TOWARDS THE RANKING SYSTEM.

We do not want teams improving their ranking simply because an opponent failed to show up. Rankings should be earned through games actually played on the field.

🌎 MLFA NATIONAL RANKINGS & BOWL QUALIFICATION

The CFCA system will also work hand-in-hand with the MLFA National Ranking System and National/Regional Bowl Championships.

Our goal is to establish an independent and unbiased National Ranking Committee that can evaluate qualified teams from participating leagues using established standards.

Teams should know exactly what they are competing for and what they need to accomplish to earn postseason and bowl opportunities.

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ CALLING LEAGUES ACROSS THE UNITED STATES

CFCA and MLFA are inviting independent adult football leagues across the country to become part of this movement.

Your league keeps its identity. Your teams compete in your league.

The bigger vision is to connect independent leagues through a common ranking and bowl qualification system that creates meaningful opportunities beyond a league championship.

This is about giving established organizations something bigger to compete for while giving developing organizations an opportunity to grow, compete, prove themselves, and earn their way up.

ONE 8-GAME REGULAR SEASON β€” 4 HOME GAMES AND 4 AWAY GAMES.
ONE RANKING FORMULA.
TWO PLAYOFF DIVISIONS.
YOUR PERFORMANCE DETERMINES WHERE YOU PLAY.

🏈 BUILD YOUR ORGANIZATION.
🏈 COMPETE ON THE FIELD.
🏈 EARN YOUR RANKING.
🏈 QUALIFY FOR YOUR DIVISION.
🏈 WIN YOUR CHAMPIONSHIP.
🏈 EARN YOUR OPPORTUNITY ON THE NATIONAL STAGE.

πŸ”₯ 2027 IS ABOUT STRUCTURE, ACCOUNTABILITY, GROWTH & OPPORTUNITY.

UNITED AS ONE.
