🔥 Not a Ribbon Cutting… a RIBBON BURNING. 🔥

What a way to kick off the Entrepreneurs Playground during Reno Startup Week.

Tonight we’re set up inside The Oddie District for a Burning Man-themed grand opening they appropriately called “Ribbon Burning.” Instead of cutting the ribbon, they’re burning it. 🔥

And honestly, it fits this place perfectly.

The Oddie District shares its campus with The Generator, an incredible creative makerspace where artists, builders and creators have access to the tools and space to turn some seriously BIG ideas into reality, including art built for Burning Man.

The entire building feels like a playground for creativity and entrepreneurship tonight:

The Aces In Places Bar Golf Series officially tees off tonight at Our Bar!

Tonight begins Week 1 of the three-week qualifier series. Choose your teammate, represent Our Bar and compete for one of two spots in the Championship Round.

📍 Our Bar
⏰ 5:00–9:00 PM
📅 September 28, October 5 and October 12

Registration covers all three Monday-night rounds:

⛳ $100 individual entry
⛳ $190 two-person team

The top two teams will advance to the October 28 Championship to compete for cash prizes and bar bragging rights.

Who says you need a ballroom to create an unforgettable employee event? ⛳️🔥

Last night, Luke transformed his driveway into the perfect appreciation night for his managers, complete with Aces in Places, co****le, and a mobile hibachi dinner.

Great food, friendly competition, and plenty of laughs. Sometimes the best venue is right at home.

Great way to kick off Reno Startup Week! ⛳️🚀

I had the opportunity to sit down with ARC Reno / FOX 11 alongside Daniel Smith to talk about entrepreneurship, Reno Startup Week, and the journey of turning Aces In Places from an idea into a growing business.

We even brought a little golf into the studio. Because apparently I don’t go anywhere without a simulator these days. 😂

One of my biggest takeaways from this journey has been simple: listen to your customers, stay willing to adapt, and keep moving forward.

Thank you to ARC Reno for having us and to everyone working behind the scenes to make Reno Startup Week a resource for entrepreneurs throughout our community.

⛳ RENO, PICK YOUR BAR AND REPRESENT!

The Aces In Places Bar Golf Series is coming this fall with four bars, twelve qualifier nights and one championship.

Choose your home bar:

🍻 Our Bar
Mondays: Sept. 28, Oct. 5 and Oct. 12

🍻 Big Horn Tavern
Tuesdays: Sept. 29, Oct. 6 and Oct. 13

🍻 The Eddy
Wednesdays: Sept. 30, Oct. 7 and Oct. 14

🍻 South 40
Thursdays: Oct. 1, Oct. 8 and Oct. 15

All qualifiers run from 5:00–9:00 PM.

Entry is $100 for individuals or $190 for teams of two. The top two teams from each bar will advance to the October 28 Championship and compete for cash prizes, bragging rights and the chance to bring the title home to their bar.
