We shared the story behind the name Stackers, and we loved reading all of your comments! 💙

For us, stacking is about more than paddles—it’s about building something meaningful one day, one game and one friendship at a time.

Lately, my personal “stacking” has been visiting other pickleball courts with some of my favorite people, making new friends and stacking up memories along the way. This photo is one of those memories I’ll always treasure!

Please help us officially welcome our new General Manager, Braylon Mickens, to the Stackers family! 🩵

We truly couldn’t be happier to have Braylon on our team. In just his first week, he has already formed so many new relationships, brought fresh ideas to the club, and shown us how deeply he cares about Stackers and the people who walk through our doors.

Braylon has a natural ability to make people feel welcome, whether they are picking up a paddle for the first time or working to take their game to the next level. He is currently working toward becoming a certified pickleball instructor and has already begun giving lessons. Players are even driving from Sulphur Springs and Texarkana to train with him!

What stands out most about Braylon is his heart. He brings genuine passion, positive energy, and a desire to help others improve both on and off the court. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to help lead Stackers into its next chapter.

Braylon, you are officially part of the Stackers family, and we already don’t know what we would do without you. We can’t wait to see the relationships we build and everything we accomplish together!

Ever wonder where the name Stackers came from?

When Charles and I first started playing pickleball, we spent plenty of time stacking paddles and waiting for our turn on the court. At the same time, our other business, Seay Pawn & Gun, deals in gold and silver—and a little-known fact is that people who collect gold and silver are called “stackers.”

So when we decided to open our club, Charles was adamant: the name had to be Stackers. It was the perfect fit because, in every part of our lives, we’ve always been stacking—paddles, precious metals, dreams, and now, a community.

I’m so proud of Charles and the vision he had for this place. Stackers would never have been built without him. This journey has brought us closer together and changed our lives in ways we never expected. It has led us toward a healthier lifestyle, a stronger marriage, and a future we’re incredibly excited about.

We’re stacking friendships, memories, and blessings—and from here, the only way is up. 💙

To our Founders—thank you. You believed in our vision from the very beginning, supported us before we knew exactly what this dream would become, and continue to show up week after week. Your encouragement, loyalty, and love for this club mean more to us than we could ever put into words.

Stackers wouldn’t be what it is today without y’all. You helped us turn an idea into a community—and for that, we will always be grateful.

Here’s to many more games played, tournaments hosted, memories made, and friendships formed. The best is still ahead, and we’re so thankful to have you with us for every serve, rally, and point along the way. 🏓
