We were thrilled to welcome Hall of Fame distance runner Sue Grigsby (’79, Liberal Studies/Recreation Administration) back to campus!

During her visit, Sue met with Executive Director of Athletics Nick Pettit, Head Track & Field Coach Sarah Ingram, and connected with her kinesiology and women’s distance scholarship recipients, including senior Lex Craven.

The 2025–26 Sue Grigsby Women’s Distance Scholarship recipients are Lex Craven and Brinna Weiseth!

Sue has supported Cal Poly Humboldt for decades, establishing two endowed funds for kinesiology majors and women’s athletes—and she returns every summer to visit campus and her scholarship recipients. Most recently, Sue included a $250,000 bequest in her estate to further support these endowments. 💚
