One of our TPT trail adopters went out and cleaned up their section. They trimmed shrubs and picked up garbage. Thank you to all our trail adopters who put in time and effort on our beautiful trail.
Please be respectful: if you are hiking and see garbage, pack a small bag, pick it up, and take it out. Become a good trail steward. Thank you!

We are so excited to share this milestone with you! Our most impressive monument sign to date is now fully installed in Idlewild Park 🥳
This sign honors the history of Tahoe-Pyramid Trail along with many of our longtime donors and volunteers who have made the work possible over the years. To celebrate the unveiling of the sign, we hosted a Donor and Volunteer Appreciation cookout in the park last Friday - Thank you so much to all who attended and made this such a memorable event! 🥰
Extra Thank-You’s go out to our generous sponsors and .reno as well as and for the donated raffle prizes.
If you haven’t seen the new sign yet, take a stroll through Idlewild and check it out! 🌼🌿

This past weekend we hosted a successful clean-up of the Truckee River Trail section of the TPT! This paved trail is dutifully maintained by TCPUD, and we were psyched to have such an awesome crew of volunteers make the trek up to Tahoe City to help pick up trash and vegetative debris. BIG thanks are extended to our volunteers, to for providing supplies, and to for sponsoring this wonderful volunteer day.
The Truckee River Trail serves as the westernmost section of the Tahoe-Pyramid Trail. It offers beautiful views of the Truckee River along a 5-mile stretch from 64-Acre Park to the intersection at Olympic Valley. The trail is wide, paved, mostly flat, and easily accessible. Check it out when you get a chance!

Spring weather in Reno keeps you guessing. Here is a picture of a couple of runners going west on the TPT, from Quilici Ranch Road. This trail is one of their favorite routes. About 10 minutes later, the winds started up, and we had some rain out there. Glad I was able to snap a picture of them smiling! Those clouds were definitely moving our way!
It is always a joy to meet such wonderful people using our local trails. We are fortunate! Have a great week!

Another tabling event at the Sierra Vista Spring Bike Festival. Thank you to the Biggest Little Trail Stewardship for putting on such a great event. Our own Mark Cameron and Randy Collins had lots of people stopping by. Watch for it next May!

21st Annual Cookie Ride Reminder
Time to pump up those bike tires, drag out the hiking boots, or don those running shoes, however you want to get to Verdi's Crystal Peak Park is fine by us.
We will be serving homemade cookies from 10 to 11:30 am on the 17th of May, Sunday.
Any bakers who want to help, contact Marie at 775 233-1121.
For those coming from the Reno/Sparks area, this is why we hold this annual event: to ride safely there on the Mogul-Verdi path! Thank you, Janet Philips!
