MEMO Swim Team

Today is MEMO’s second-annual THRICE is NICE swim meet at San Leandro HS. It may be 45° outside, but everyone is just going to swim fast! And buy hot chocolate! And have a great time in the sport you can do forever. 

Do you like earning points for MEMO? Swimming the long stuff? They're putting a cap on the distance events for all our Championships, and it's starting in October with the SCM meet in Walnut Creek. There will be only 10 heats of all the distance races, and the MEET IS OPEN NOW! This should get all you folks to get moving, if you normally wait till the last minute. If you're a sprinter, you can chill. But if you WANT TO HELP, register soon!

Pacific Masters SCM Champions, 2021!!

Congratulations to us!! MEMO Swim Team was just named the United States Masters Swimming Club of the Year, for 2021. Yup, the entire nation! Over 1200 teams!! We not only survived this Pandemic, but we thrived. We relocated, incorporated, lost half the team, gained a new half of really cool people, and had a great time along the way. Thank you to all of the MEMOs, old and new. It’s a great group to be a part of.

Now that kids are back in school MEMO is practicing at Alameda HS (Emma Hood pool). 8:00 and 9:00 practices are offered on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. On Thursday we have mid-day sunshine at 11:00 and 12:00. On Sunday we have our chewy practice, from 7:30-9:00 (that one only, is at Encinal HS). MEMO is open to drop-ins to all currently registered USMS swimmers for a $10 fee.

MEMO Swim Team is now allowed 30 swimmers per workout. Would you like to drop in? All currently-registered USMS members are welcome to join us, at $10 per swim.

MEMO is hosting an ePostal swim, during the month of March! If you like just one stroke and only want to swim your favorite, this event is for you! Or, you can do them all! Check it out!
