Thank You All for the birthday wishes! I felt less isolated and alone in my new home because so many of you reminded me how much you care! Reno is absolutely lovely but, I must confess, I question my timing… I arrived just as everything was shutting down for the pandemic. Luckily, the area offers lots of outdoor beauty and amazing hiking trails. Getting outside and basking in the sun and the breathtaking views have been good for my soul and remind me again and again that I am not the biggest thing in my world- In a great way. The Universe holds me and reminds me to breathe and to seek balance within and without. @ Reno, Nevada

“The great difference between joy and fear is simple: Joy can take place in all three ‘time zones’ — past, present, and future. Whereas fear is only of what is going to happen (to us) in the future. We cannot be afraid of the past. If we are afraid of something in the present it is really because of what we fear might happen in the next moment, hour, year…On the other hand, one can have a joyful memory, a joyful now, and the joy that comes from expecting something great in the future.Put another way, fear can only live in the abstract. Joy lives in both the abstract and the concrete.”
