Strider Clark - President of the International Baiyun Tongbei Quan Assoc.: Jeff Collins was my third TKD instructor. I studied TKD, Arnis, and Kosho Ryu Kempo under him. I felt that Jeff was an o-u-t-s-t-a-n-d-i-n-g martial artist and a very nice individual. He introduced me to many high-level practitioners. Jeff showed me that you can do more than one art and still be very good at each. Also, that one art's ideas and lessons can really help you learn and evolve in another art as well. I saw him as being very diverse, flexible, and a free spirit. This helped me to keep an open mind. Kyle Monk: I don't think you will find a more knowledgeable instructor in Filipino martial arts in Reno than Jeff Collins. Personally, I have been studying martial arts off and on for over 17 years. I can say without a doubt that I am grateful to have met Jeff. He is a one-of-a-kind instructor. His patience, experience, and ability speak for themselves. A true practitioner of the arts. Cathy Pashane: Jeff works with each person so that the student will be successful in martial arts skills. As an instructor, he is very patient yet demanding, which results in successful learning. I hope other women will sign up for his classes, especially the self-defense course. It is outstanding. Jim E.: I have to say, Jeff is a very accomplished martial artist. I can say that with some authority because I have a solid martial arts background. His classes are fun, informative, and relaxed. I'm surprised he isn't more sought after from other schools because of his skills working with martial arts weapons. I highly recommend his classes for beginners to advance students. If you have an ego and want to show off your skills, you're going to the wrong place. He teaches that it is not a competition, and values the well-being of every student. He doesn't want anyone getting hurt because of someone's ego. James Doyle: Jeff is excellent at adapting the program to all skill levels. As a senior citizen with no past martial arts experience, Jeff did a fantastic job of developing a personalized self-defense program using my walking stick and simple hand moves. I enjoyed the training and have continued studying Arnis/Escrima with him. Jonathan Crawford: An excellent teacher welcoming of all skill levels. If you're looking for high-quality instruction with a focus on practical applications, then Jeff is the teacher for you.
