Memo Torres Luna GoFundMe

Good morning, 5 Star Football & Cheer, NW Premier Jr. Football & Cheer League, and Youth Football Communities every where,

I hope this message finds you well. I want to share some heartbreaking news about our dear friend, Guillermo “Memo” Torres Luna. On April 22, Memo suffered a tragic accident while working, falling several feet from a tree. This has resulted in extensive damage to his back, spine, and vertebrae, leading to multiple surgeries and weeks stay in the ICU and is now going through weeks of intensive inpatient physical therapy.

Memo is self-employed and the sole breadwinner for his family—his wife Amanda and their six children (ages 16, 13, 11, 9, 3, and 1). The emotional and mental toll on them is immense, especially with Memo's ongoing medical challenges and a looming deportation trial set for June 15. Coincidentally, on the day of his accident, I had just written a letter to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (I.C.E.) advocating for Memo and his family, urging them to halt the deportation order.

The Memo’s family urgently needs our support for medical and living expenses as he embarks on a long and uncertain recovery journey. Amanda has set up a GoFundMe page to help alleviate some of the financial burden during this challenging time.
