The 30th Annual Have-A-Blast Patriotic Celebration is just ONE WEEK away! Join the City of Republic on Friday, June 26 at J.R. Martin Park for loud tunes, big booms, good eats, and tons of fun for the entire family! Back Forty Band brings the best of country covers followed by Members Only with all your favorite 80's rock classics.

Not to mention a Kid's Zone with inflatables and exotic animal petting zoo, carnival swing, tons of delicious food vendors, activities and giveaways by our local non-profit organizations, and one of the largest firework displays in 417-land set to an incredible soundtrack! WE. CAN'T. WAIT.

Calling all adventurers ages 6-12! Forget traditional summer camp and check out these action-packed, adrenaline fueling Summer Adventure Camps! Campers will tap into their adventurous side, level up their gaming skills, "travel" to different places around the world, and STEM-ulate their minds while having fun at the same time! Calling all our fancy friends! ✨👑

Slip into your favorite dress-up attire, grab your prettiest tiara, and join us for an evening filled with fun and creativity at our Totes & Tiaras Tea Party on Tuesday, July 21 at the Republic Community Center! Mothers and daughters will enjoy painting their own custom tote bags, storybook reading, yummy snacks and drinks, and dancing the evening away at our fancy dance party. And of course, no tea party is complete without a photo, so be sure to strike a pose in front of the photo wall and show off your fabulous, fancy 'fits!

Fee is $20 per mother and daughter duo and $5 for each additional daughter. Registration can be completed online at recdesk.republicparks.com (under Community Programs).

Breaking News: The forecast is sunny side up with a chance of ice cream showers! Join us for a movie night at The Amp featuring Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs! Enjoy pre-movie activities including a foam party, yard games, a bounce house, and balloon twisting. Activities begin at 7:15 p.m. Movie begins at 8:45 p.m.

Tickets are $2 each when you pre-register and $3 each onsite. All tickets include a free popcorn. Purchase your ticket online today at recdesk.republicparks.com (under Special Events).

‼LAST WEEK TO PURCHASE‼

Plan ahead and skip the line! Purchase your Kid's Zone wristband for Have-A-Blast in advance and enjoy Fast Lane access to the inflatables and exotic petting zoo!

Wristbands may be purchased online now through this Friday, June 19 by visiting recdesk.republicparks.com (under Special Events). Wristbands are $10 for the first child and $5 for each additional child in the family and include access to all inflatables and the exotic petting zoo featuring 65+ animals. Each participating child must have a wristband. Wristbands are not required for parents accompanying a child.

All pre-purchased wristbands must be picked up from the Community Center between June 22-25. No pre-purchased wristbands will be transferred to the park for pick up on event day. No refunds will be provided for wristbands that are not picked up during the designated pick-up time. Republic Parks & Recreation is not responsible for lost or stolen wristbands. All individuals wishing to enter the Kid's Zone on event day who do not have their pre-purchased wristband in hand will be directed to the line to purchase one.

On event day, participants wearing their pre-purchased wristband can skip the line and enter through the designated Fast Lane.

Think you've got the stomach, the speed, and the courage to claim the title? Then step right up, because we're slingin' hot dogs and looking for eight brave competitors ready to battle it out for hot dog glory in the 2026 Have-A-Blast Hot Dog Eating Contest!

Here's the deal:
🌭Contestants must be 18 years or older
🌭All eight competitors will be randomly selected
🌭A pre-registration form is required for a chance to compete
🌭Selected contestants will be notified the week of Have-A-Blast
🌭Competitors must report to the stage by 6:40 p.m.

Pre-registration is open now through June 20 and must be completed online at recdesk.republicparks.com (under Special Events).

Let’s help every young athlete get in the game! ⚾🏀⚽🏈

Republic Parks & Recreation is excited to host our Youth Athletics Equipment Give-Away Day on Saturday, June 13 from 9:00–11:00 AM at the Republic Community Center!

This event is part of the RepMo Rotary Club’s Republic Day of Service and is all about community, generosity, and giving kids the chance to play. Families are invited to stop by and pick out free sports equipment for their child while supplies last.

Have equipment your family has outgrown? Bring it in! We are accepting new or gently used sports equipment donations to help another young athlete enjoy their season.

Bring what you can. Take what you need. Help every athlete play!

Come explore and enjoy the space from 5:30-6:30 p.m., with the ribbon cutting ceremony taking place at 6:00 p.m. Enjoy live music by Dallas Jones and a "Mini-Market" where local vendors will be showcasing their businesses and offering products for sale under the pavilion!

Stick around for OPENING NIGHT at The Amp featuring Disney's live action Lilo & Stitch! Pre-movie activities begin at 7:15 p.m. and include face painting, balloon twisting, a bounce house, character meet and greet, and more! Not to mention, Sno-Ballz and Tinga Tacos will be onsite serving up yummy eats and cold treats! Movie begins at 8:45 p.m. Tickets are $2 each when you pre-register and $3 each onsite. Mud... Mud... MUD!! Who's ready for the got Mud? Run?! Venture to Brookline Park on Saturday, August 22 for the muddiest, messiest, most epic obstacle course around! Divisions available for youth (ages 6-15), families/groups (youth ages 4-15 + one adult age 16+), and adults (ages 16+).
