More Lacey Mountain Brittanys action at the training grounds today. We had some smoke, but it cleared out towards the end of our session. Also, just a reminder that Lacey Mountain Brittanys has just three girls left for the taking on their last breeding as they are going to retire this year. I have enjoyed working with their pups the last decade, and you will love owning one if you have the opportunity to get one of these pups.

We had a blast from the past today. Jesse Lamp came back to visit from the coast with his 2-year-old dog Ranger. Ranger is a Lacey Mountain Brittanys pup. He looked really good today. He will be back again tomorrow. Maybe we'll get to see him once again before the fall opener.

Second trip to the water and Diamond looks like a big bird dog.

More Lacey Mountain Brittanys fun today. The weather was excellent at 64 degrees and some wind. We shot quail over Diamond and Lanie. Both retrieved to hand. We also had Becky, a chocolate lab out today and we shot a bird over her. She was scenting birds from 20 yards away all day long. She has developed nicely over her last few outings.

Working with Lacey Mountain Brittanys and Will's chocolate lab Becky. Becky came into her bird dog brain today. Using her nose to root out birds and to make her first retrieves. Good job Becky.

The weather was great on this Prospector's Day in Ferry County. We ran 4 dogs today and everyone got a bird shot over them. Tilly, Ada and Lanie all retrieved well. A big thank you to the Hetland Electric Family for the early surprise Father's Day gift. While I trained their dogs they were installing some can lights into my mancave. This is going to make bird cleaning so much easier. If you live near Ferry County, I can't recommend a better company....

Last day with Sadie until July. She had 8 finds and we shot a pigeon over her and she retrieved it to hand. She is looking great for just 3 days of training and 26 finds under her belt.

More work with Seth's pup today. She was on fire. 9 solid points on day 2. We also worked with Becky, Will's dog from Hardings Hardware in town. Day two and she is coming along a bit slower, but making progress.

We worked with Seth Martin's pup Sadie today. She had a great nose and took to the training well. We worked 9 birds on her and for an 8-month-old pup she did very well. We will see you tomorrow, Seth. Hopefully she continues to hold steady and learns that it is fun to point birds.
