And that’s a wrap on the 2026 Summer Showdown!

Mark Detka not only won the Show-n-Shine, he followed it up by winning Retro Class with his “USA-1” and the Challenger racing bracket with his “Outlaw”!

Mike Bufka took the racing victory with “Mr. Holmes Power” over a hard charging “Orange Slice” of Grayson Burrows in Pro Mod.

Chuck Vasquez won the tie breaker over Zac Soares for the freestyle win with his “Power Wheels Bigfoot” in a very exciting night of freestyle competition.

At the end of the night, Mike Bufka had the most points and took home the coveted Overall Championship for Pro Mod.

Thank you all for an awesome day of competition!

Saturday’s 2026 Summer Showdown would not be possible without our racers and incredible sponsors. These events literally wouldn’t happen without the support we receive both at the track and behind the scenes from people like Jake Smallwood and BlackMarket RC.

BlackMarket RC’s custom chassis are built to customer specs, then tested and proven on the track at our events. More often than not, you’ll find them in the winner’s circle when the racing is done.

But Jake’s support goes well beyond the chassis. He’s been instrumental in helping secure event prizes and sponsorships, while also hauling (and repairing) the trailer that makes it to every race.

There’s a lot that goes into putting these events together, and we’re fortunate to have Jake and BlackMarket RC helping make it happen. We’ll see plenty of BlackMarket hardware on the dirt this Saturday at the 2026 Summer Showdown.

We’re happy to announce Clod.Parts as a new sponsor for the 2026 Summer Showdown this Saturday at AMain Hobbies Silver Dollar RC Raceway in Chico!

The name says it all as they produce Clodbuster-based kits and aftermarket parts machining all G10, Carbon Fiber, and most brass parts in house. They sent us some of their Retrobuster kits as well as a 6x6 chassis to give away on Saturday, so expect to see more Retro class entries next season!
