Seeking student directors for the Fall Collegiate Dance Company.

The BYU-Idaho Collegiate Dance Company is seeking applicants for the role of ‘student director’ for this coming fall semester. At least four students will be chosen to be mentored through the organizational and operational phases of the fall dance concert. The duties shared by the student directors will include:
• Designing the structure and content for the Fall dance concert.
• Recruiting choreographers and dancers for the performance.
• Organizing and managing the audition and rehearsal process.
• Mentoring dancers and choreographers.
• Choreographing for the concert.
• Planning the costume, sound, and lighting needs of the performance.
• Designing the promotional materials for the company and the show.
• Managing all aspects of the concert.

Active participation is required between September 14th and December 5th, 2026. Three planning meetings will be held during the Spring semester (June and July), and the applicant must be able to attend those in person or remotely. The position is offered for paid compensation or course credit, and applicants must be in good academic standing to be considered.

The deadline for applications is midnight on May 30th, 2026.
